Don't ask.
Disclaimer- I don't own Maximum Rideā¦or the world. That is what is very stinkish in life right now.
Max's POV"What?! You want us to go back to the School?! Are you crazy?!" I screamed at Jeb. Well, I all ready knew he was crazy, just not this crazy.
"No. You have to go back," he said calmly. How could he be calm at a time like this?!
"No." I used the tone that would stop most people, but, of course, he didn't even pause for a second.
"I have someone I need you to meet. She's locked in a cage and we need to save her." Come to think of it, that did sound like a good reason to go back.
"Maybe. I'll talk about it with the flock," I said. I got up from the table and walked to my room.
We were staying at some hotel in Ohio (the Buckeye State. What is up with that?!)
As usual, the flock was waiting for me. This time I wasn't sure I wanted to tell them the news.
"Guys," I began, "Jeb wants us to go back to the School to rescue a girl. What do you say?" Seemed good enough.
"Yes!" Angel started doing a dance around the room. What the hey?! "I've been wanting to tell you about her, but I wasn't sure I should."
"You should have, ding-dong!" I walked over to her. I kneeled down next to her and took her hand. "Why didn't you tell me or one of us?" I asked gently.
"Because I was afraid," she said. She looked at the ground. I saw sadness come into her eyes and tears start to form.
"Okay, then. It's settled. We're going to help that girl," I said. Being the leader was hard work. It's also very hard being me.
(Downstairs)
"Jeb, we've made our decision," I said. I looked at him, he looked hugely tired.
"What is your decision?" he asked. He yawned, then looked at us again.
"We're going to help you," I said.
He smiled at us. "I knew I could count on you."
And now I'm evil.
