A quiet clang echoed through the empty halls of G.U.N.'s headquarters. One hall, in particular, had another noise other than the faulty water pipes. A slight scuffle of struggling feet gave way to which is spoken of. This sound came from a large pile of books and notebooks with feet, the owner of said feet hidden behind their possessions.

A nearby door slid open as the pile turned and entered into the corridor. Behind the door, another hall led. The pile growled slightly and pushed on. Suddenly, a side door opened and a black being ran into the pile of books.

Papers flew and an angered looking Raine the Hedgehog sat before her fallen books. Quickly, as if she didn't want someone to see, she gathered her materials once again. A quiet smirk made her jump and grimace to discover the last person she wanted to see reading a notebook paper: her paper, her work.

"Uhh...Shadow..." she reached for the paper. Swiftly, the black hedgehog pulled back from Raine's reach. The silver hedgehog got up and attempted to grasp her paper once more, only to succeed, but too late. "Not too bad. Did you write that, Raine?" Shadow inquired.

Embarrassed, Raine clenched her paper and muttered "Yeah..." The black hedgehog gazed upon the books. "Are all those from the library?" Again, the blushing Raine nodded. Shadow smiled and laughed slightly at this sight. Motioning to the large amount of books, he asked "Need any help with these?"

Slowly, Raine's eyes looked up and she silently nodded in reply. Together, the two-some split the load and walked off to where Raine stated to be her room. The black hedgehog placed his half down next to the doorway, bid her farewell, and walked back to his course. The silver hedgehog, one by one, took her possessions into her quarters and closed her door tightly.

One thing, she missed, however, was the one thing that caused her face the flush. Smirking softly on his way back, Shadow pulled a small, folded piece of paper out of his glove. Opening it up, he smiled softer as he read Raine's poem:

I watch you here
never showing my fear

Of loosing you
O one of few

Who see something in me
What is it you truly see?

Finishing his second reading of the work, the black hedgehog refolded the paper and hid it back inside his glove. 'So...' he thought to himself, 'I wonder who this is for...' An idea flashed inside his head with this thought. Quickly, he shoved it aside, shaking his head as if it would get off his mind. 'There's no way.' Shadow then paused and took his eyes to a window at his right. The sun blasted it's way into the normally dark hallways of the headquarters and warmed Shadow's face, and his words.

"Is there?"
