Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Woolly Bear" from Season 2. Enjoy and comment.

During the summer, workmen cut the long grass along the track,

They rake it into heaps to dry in the sun.

Usually during this time of year, Percy stops here,

The men load up his empty freight cars, and Percy pulls them to the station, where Toby takes them to the hills, for the farmers to feed their animals.

When Percy saw Thomas one day, he gave a ghostly whistle to him.

"Don't be frightened!" laughed Percy. "It's only me."

"You're ugly face is enough to frighten anyone!" said Thomas crossly, "You're like a caterpillar with red stripes! You crawl like one too!"

"No I don't!" snapped Percy.

"You've been late everyday this week!"

"It's the hay! I can't help it!"

"But Sir Topham Hatt wants me to run on time!"

"A green caterpillar! Nonsense!" snapped Percy as he set off to collect more hay to take to the harbor.

"Thomas thinks I'm always late!" he thought to himself. "I'm never late! Why does Thomas think I'm always late? He can always make up for lost time!"

Percy and his driver agreed to set home early.

But then, it happened. A large crate of treacle fell all over Percy!

Now Percy was covered from footplate to fender in treacle!

Percy was very cross.

When he finally puffed away, he was still sticky.

The wind was blowing heavily.

Then, his driver noticed something.

"Look at that!" he exclaimed.

The wind had caught the piled hay, tossing it over the track!

Percy went as fast as he could, causing hay to fly all over him!

Soon, Percy became stuck on the rails!

He had to wait 'till the line was cleared, before he could start again!

Thomas was waiting for Percy at the station.

"Ten minutes late? Everyone is sure to complain now!"

But they didn't.

Within minutes. Percy arrived, and everyone started to laugh.

"Sorry I'm late!" said Percy.

"Look what's crawled out of the haystack!" teased Thomas.

"What's wrong?" asked Percy.

"A hairy caterpillar, that's what!" said Thomas. "It was worth the wait to see you!"

When Percy got home, his driver showed him what he looked like in a mirror.

"Bust my buffers!" exclaimed Percy. "No wonder everyone laughed! I'm just like a woolly bear! Can you clean me before Toby comes?"

Within seconds, Toby arrived.

Instead of talking about normal things, they decided to tease Percy about woolly bears.

They laughed and laughed, but Percy thought they were just being silly.
