Love is Painful
"Urameshi! Why aren't ya listenin' to me?!" Kuwabara wailed, still heart broken from the breakup with Yukina, two weeks ago. His beloved love was crushed!
"Ya, ya. You whined about loving Yukina, then you came to the conclusion that you'll love the next person you see with the same eyes as her." Yusuke froze in his search through the fridge as he realized that person was Hiei. "You know what? Why remind yourself about her every time you look at 'im?" Plan A, save Hiei's ass without him knowing, get reward later.
"No! I make this vow on both my pride and manliness, that I Kuwabara will love her until I die!" Kuwabara shouted, feeling better now that he had made up his mind.
"What are you talking about now, fool?" Hiei questioned. Kuwabara turned towards him, about to shout at him when he noticed the color of Hiei's eyes. They looked a lot like Yukina's, as if they were siblings. Kuwabara laughed at that. Like Yukina would be related to Hiei!
"About my love for you!" Kuwabara, now struck with his vow, went to Hiei and took his hand in his. He bent down to be face to face with him.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Hiei ripped his hand away from the idiot's as his words sunk in after the shock. Yusuke started laughing loudly. At the look from Hiei he tried to explain.
"He (laughter) vowed to love the person (more laughter) who has eyes like Yukina!" At that he dropped to the floor, holding his sides as he laughter.
"Hiei? Hiei, my love!" Kuwabara blocked Hiei's view of Yusuke. Feeling anger run through his whole being, he decided on showing this idiot what he thought of this vow.
"Yes baka?" He asked in a dead calm voice.
"Let's go to the park. I know you like it there-Ahh!" Kuwabara fell back with a forming black eye. Before he could move Hiei grabbed him, punching his face in more. When he felt his dislike of the idea was put through Kuwabara's head, he dropped him. Kuwabara lay there, face now made into pulp.
"If you value your life, you'll drop your vow and stay away from me." Hiei left the apartment. Reasons why he was there to start with gone with him.
Yusuke later explained to Kurama with dramatic retelling of what happened. Kurama got a good laugh out of it. When Hiei dropped by, Kurama kissed him on the nose, then turned to Yusuke.
"I'm glad you told me Kuwabara has dropped his vow. I am not willing to share my fire demon any time soon." The deadly shine in his eyes spoke seriously, unlike his joking tone.
