Arrow: Alright everyone, my inner FMA muse has not been leaving me alone so you all get to enjoy the aftermath of my muse's insanely demanding nature. This is second in my FMA one-shot series and I am debating on what to call the series. Any ideas will be accepted and I will choose from whatever the readers wish. Anyway, please enjoy the fic.

Pride walked into the kitchen. As always, he was the first one awake. He stretched and began to make breakfast for his family.
His family. He had never had one, or if he did he couldn't remember. Sure, they all fought; hell, he and Greed had gotten into a huge fight just yesterday, over what, he couldn't recall, but at the end of the day it didn't matter. What mattered was that even at their absolute worst behavior or temperament, they all still cared about each other. For example, even though he and Greed had fought, the older boy had still thanked him for making dinner and gave Pride a hug. It was the homunculus's way of saying he was sorry.
Envy got mad too. He would scream, yell and throw things. It was scary but he was never mad at any of them. It was the military's team of alchemists that infuriated the oldest homunculus. While Envy took his anger out on nearby objects, contrary to most people's belief, he never hit any of them. He cared for them too much.
Lust, in contrast to her name, was an extremely motherly person. She adored her brothers and sons, as she considered Pride and Wrath to be her children. Gluttony ate a lot, but he would never finish the leftovers of a meal until everyone else was done with it. If he was snacking, he offered his food to the other homunculi in the house.
Pride smiled as he thought about his family. He turned when he heard the stairs creak. It was Lust. She smiled at him.
"Hey, Pride."
"Good morning, Lust."
"What's for breakfast?"
"Chocolate chip pancakes, eggs, bacon, and hash browns."
"Do you want some help?" Pride smiled at her.
"Sure, sister." She beamed and began to make the hash browns. By the time breakfast was finished, all were awake and sitting at the table, with the exception of Envy. He walked into the kitchen.
"Need some help with all of that?" Lust thought for a moment.
"I think we can handle all the food, but could you get the drinks?" He nodded.
"Sure." He opened the refrigerator as they went to put the platters on the table. Pride took his place between Greed and Gluttony; once Envy had sat down, they began to eat. Listening to the conversation that flowed easily around the table, Pride smiled.
How on earth had he gotten this lucky? What had he done to deserve such a dysfunctional, yet loving family? The alchemists would argue that the homunculi lacked the capacity for love, but they didn't know anything. Homunculi were different, but they had their own way of expressing their feelings and personalities. It was just never done publicly.
As Gluttony passed him the hash browns, Pride smiled at him. Oh well, I guess I'll never know, but it doesn't matter. I am just lucky.
