A/N: This is a liley one shot story. Lately I have just been coming up with ideas that are bottled up in my head. I have used this idea before in other fanfiction genres so I decided to do it for liley. I hope you like it and enjoy reading!

Summary: Its been seven years since the break up with Miley and Lily. You see Miley thought it best for the both of them if they just date other people, but can a mistake be fixed. What will happen if Miley confesses her love on tape? Will Lily still feel the same way after seven years? Read and find out!

Miley's Confession

People don't let people in on their deepest dark secret, so Miley Stewart, do you have any secrets?

"Everyone has a right to a secret so why should I tell you mine?"

How about something more simpler, what is your biggest regret?

"A lot I have regretted in my life."

Give me something more specific.

"In all my relationships I had someone that made me truly happy, but I let that person go."

If you want, tell me the person you let go.

"Lily Truscott, she had this smile that made me get these butterflies. And her voice I can listen to all day long."

Than what happened?

"I'm not sure, I broke up with her and went back to Jake Ryan. I thought she is better off without me, but now that I look back on it I think I was in love with her."

Do you want to stop, you don't have to do this?

"I'm fine it's just, I never told anyone that, not even my best friend Oliver."

"Did Lily know you loved her? And did she love you that you know of?

"I believe she loved me, as far as if she knew I loved her. I wish I knew the answer to that one."

Lets say she did, if she was here what would you say to her?

"You really want to know?"

Yes go on be honest, say whatever is on your mind.

"Okay um, I would tell her, I love you Lily, that I can't live without you. I miss you, that I made a terrible mistake. I was just scared that you wouldn't love me back, I'm sorry."

Easy, now we will stop rolling now. Miley you did very well and I hope the best for you.

"Bye now."

Oliver comes to sit down next to Lily. "So how did she do? Did you get what you were looking for?"

Lily smiles. "Yes, she really does love me Oliver. I wish I could hold her and kiss her."

"Well you know now and I'm sorry you had to find out like this. It took me awhile before she would agree to this."

Lily hugs Oliver, looking in his eyes smiling. "Thank you."

"For what?"

"Giving me my heart back."

"Hey it's what I do."

"Good-bye Oliver."

"Good-bye Lily."

Lily puts the tape away, heads back home to her son.

"Mommy you're home, I missed you."

"Me too little guy, sorry I'm late buddy."

"It's okay, someone is here to see you. She is very pretty."

Miley walks in from the kitchen. "Jayden let me in. I know its been awhile."

"Seven years to be exact. What are you doing here?"

Jake tugs on his mother's leg. "Mommy is that the girl you lost?"

Nobody says anything, Miley stays for dinner. Jayden seems to get along with his mother's friend. He finally went to sleep. It was time for Miley to leave again.

"Lily it was good seeing you it's time for me to go."

"Wait! Stay here with me and Jayden. We missed a lot, I can't miss no more with you."

That's when Miley knew she couldn't leave, her feet didn't even go outside the door. Lily never told Miley that she is the one who recorded her. If it wasn't for Oliver, Lily would have never known that Miley loved her. Miley came to see Lily after doing that session, because she wanted that love back and to be happy that she was finally with Lily, and her son Jayden.
