Trip to Paradise
by MountainHive
The boy stretched out his hands, slowly touching the light violet-light barrier in front of him and then – dropped it. The angel's eyes widened at his action. Time was running out. The portal was closing.
"Follow me to paradise, Natsume," the angel said in a whisper.
Flatter, flatter
"You don't…" she started and gave out a sigh and continued – "don't belong in this dirty place. Follow me up to heaven, to your wanted paradise," she pressed.
"Death, murder, rape! This place is filled with filthy humans and their greed that completes them. Follow me up. I'll give you peace. I'll give you everybody's wanted dream. You can have it all," she made it sound so beautiful. So tempting.
Flatter, flatter
"Follow me, before it's too late. Just take my hand," she urged. Her body slowly becoming transparent as seconds passed.
The boy just stood there with his empty eyes as he stared at the brunette angel. He didn't twitch, he didn't move. He looked so lifeless; yet lonely. The angel knew he wanted warmth, but why wasn't he grasping her hand?
"Natsume! Hurry, I'll save you," she continued. Just a matter of a few second and she'll disappear entirely. Just a few more second, she'll be back from where she came from.
She stretched her hand but it just went through his skin. She couldn't touch him, only he cantouch her.
"Mother can clean your sins. Come," she asked desperately.
Flatter, flatter…
The boy stretched out his hands, slowly touching the light violet-light barrier in front of him and then – dropped it. The angel's eyes widened at his action. Time was running out. The portal was closing above.
"Natsume, hurry. There's not much time left!" tears streamed down her cheeks as she tried her best to reach out to him.
The boy looked up at the sky – at the start of the violet-light barrier portal. He then gave out a soft sigh and looked at the beautiful angel ahead of him. "I belong here, not up there," he pointed up at the sky. "I had committed too many sins. No one can change that. If you care for me, you would return. If not, it's alright," he said and faced his back towards the angel.
Flatter, flatter
He brought his watch up to his eyes as he counted each second softly in his heart. He saw the different in lighting behind him. He knew she was in tears, he could hear her soft sobs as it got softer. He noticed that the portal was closing and she was as near as transparent. He could feel it.
Flatter, flatter, flatter
"I'll return for you," a voice said and he turned back only to see nothing.
She had left but she left a mental note in him that she'll return.
'I'll wait,' he added mentally as he saw a white feather dropping from the sky. He let the feather drop onto his palm. It remained there for a short amount of time and to his utter disbelief, it melted into his skin.
'With this, Natsume, we're somehow always together.'
