Sirius sat patiently under the tree beside the black lake. This is where Sirius waited for people. This is where Sirius reunited with James and Lily. So Sirius sat in his animagi form patiently waiting for 'him' to join him. He didn't mind that 'he' met someone else while Sirius was gone but he had to see 'him' again.
"Sirius?" A gentle voice called and Sirius' ears pricked at the sound. Walking over to him was the lanky Remus Lupin. He was alone. "Sirius," Remus smiled at his friend, "James told me you'd be here." Sirius stood on all fours as he greeted the man with a bark. He wagged his tail excitedly. Remus came up and stroked Sirius' head and sat beside the big shaggy black dog.
Once Remus stopped patting him Sirius changed back into his human form, "'Ello, Moony." Sirius said brightly, "I haven't seen you in so long." Sirius whined softly. Remus nodded his agreement.
"I don't know if you know but I married Nymphadora." Remus said softly, he knew Sirius' feelings towards him but he didn't return them. Not in the way Sirius wanted him too. Sirius nodded.
"Yeah, I heard. You have a son too." Sirius responded softly, he felt his heart beating in his throat, "I envy you, Moony. I wish I could have had a son or daughter." Sirius lay on the ground so that he was looking up at the clear blue sky. Sirius scowled as he realized it never rained up here, it was always sunny with clear blue skies. Sirius reminisced about rainy days at Hogwarts and the nostalgia almost made him tear up.
"Yeah, I hope he is okay down there by himself," Remus said softly as he lay back with Sirius, "It's a weird feeling knowing you'll never get chance to be a part of your child's life. It's sad, I will never get to see him grow up." Remus heaved sadly. Sirius put a hand on Remus' shoulder.
"I know the feeling. I've had to sit back and watch Harry's and your life without me in it." Sirius stared at the sky trying to avoid tears, "It's not easy but you learn to do it." He explained sadly. "Don't worry soon enough everyone will join us up here. You will finally meet your son and you finally get to embrace him." Remus frowned at his friend.
"I don't think I want to wish that on my son." Remus said sadly. Sirius shrugged sadly.
"We all have to die, Remus."
