Kay. So, I haven't written anything in a while and this is more of a warm-up than anything, cause I do plan on writing more. I love the Mentalist, Jane, and Lisbon! And Cho, he's just amazing. (I don't know if this applies to people outside of Canada, but has anyone noticed those random Shell gasoline commercials that have the actor for Cho, Tim Kang, in it?) Anyways this is basically a recap of tiny Jisbon moments throughout the series.

TESSERA

He's as damned as he seems, and more heaven than a heart could hold; (Beautiful Disaster - Kelly Clarkson)

i. Her name is - Tanya Taylor Terry - Teresa. Her name is Teresa and she is quite pretty and he can see the intelligence in her eyes (and she means absolutely nothing at all to him). It is not love at first sight, he doesn't believe in such things anyway.

He sees nothing but defiance and professionalism and green when he looks at her; begins to hate her a little bit already.

ii. "I'm sorry,"

"No you aren't," she says. He places the origami frog (cheap magic tricks are for children and the gullible; she is neither) on her desk and it doesn't change anything at all, doesn't make a thing better, but it is there, and it is all that he can give her right now. She smiles at him - the one that he doesn't like, the one that is tired and weary and I just don't know what you're looking for, Jane - and he looks away (because he is stupid and pathetic and weak and there is absolutely nothing more than an origami frog that he can offer her right now).

At times, he thinks that he is really quite cruel to her, because he can read people, but she can read files; she never uses that against him.

iii. "I will kill Red John and if you - if you get in my way you, you'll be sorry." The I'll kill you, too goes unsaid, she hears it anyway. For all her strength and courage and brokenness, how could she ever compete with her willowy limbs and soulful eyes and utter flawlessness?

It's a shame, he thinks. Under different circumstances, in a different lifetime, he could - would - have loved her.

And for all her strength and courage, he is breaking her more because this little betrayal draws up more hurt - Lisbon, I want you to know that you can trust me. No matter what happens, I'll be there for you, I will. I need you to know that - than her huge green eyes can hide - he catches her - and she pretends that she hasn't replayed his words a thousand times or learned his smile or believed in him.

But he has always known he couldn't keep her; he is stupid and pathetic and weak.

"Are you threatening me?" (She has the greenest eyes in the world.)

iv. He rests her cheek against his chest, because she is hypnotized and therefore she will never know. He is not above stealing these tiny, insignificant, beautiful moments from her.

v. "He does love you," And it is true, because he has always known that he cannot be the only one that has memorized the exact shade and contours of her eyes, mapped out her range of emotions, longed to tell her that he loves her. (Baby you go ahead, take a look. I'll be five minutes, I'll be right there. Look after her. I'm proud of you. I love you.)

"How could he not?" He doesn't lie to himself. (Anymore)

I know I didn't really write anything, it was more like a translation from video scenes to scenes in words. Reviews are adored, anyway!
