A/N: Hey. Well, this is my first Taang oneshot. I love this pairing, so hopefully I pulled it off ok. This one is for Taiyo and the Taang fans from Distant Horizons. Love you guys.

First Date

-----------

She would kill him. It was their first date, and he was late. This was a complete waste of her time, time she could spend earthbending. Or cleaning between her toes. She wasn't worried about him either. She hadn't checked for him more than ten times. She hadn't asked people walking by if they had seen an airbender. Really she hadn't. She wasn't worried at all.

She felt a gust of wind before a male voice said, loudly, "Hey, Toph."

Jumping at least three feet, she spun around ready to attack until she felt his familiar light steps.

Angry, she shouted, "How many times do I have to tell you not to sneak up on me like that?"

Looking sheepish, Aang said, "Sorry, Toph."

Calming down, she grunted, "Whatever. Let's just go."

"Sure," Aang responded.

'This is not starting very well,"Toph thought, 'Hopefully, it'll get better.'

-----------------------------------------------

"This has to be the worst date ever," Toph shouted, angrily, to the downcast airbender.

"I thought you would like seeing that zoo I made," Aang said.

"Oh, sure, I love animals chasing after me trying to get to you," she barked, "You're an animal magnet, and I don't like being caught in a stampede."

"I had heard good things about the restaurant," Aang said, hopefully, trying to calm her down.

"Yeah, it was great...till they dropped two trays of food on my head."

Looking away, he said, "And this play was supposed to be really good."

"Well, not only can I not see it," Toph said, her voice starting to crack from shouting, "It's not even here. It's last day was three days ago."

Feeling defeated, Aang said, "Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?"

Toph looked thoughtful for a moment, then grinned, widely, as she said, "Well..."

Aang slowly backed away.

--------------------------------------------

"Move it, Twinkletoes," Toph ordered, as she fired another boulder.

Panting, Aang said, "How is training a date, again?"

Toph grinned, "Because this is actually fun."

Aang ducked another of Toph's shots, as he looked at Toph's face. She looked happier than she had the entire day.

Well, if this put her in a better mood, it was fine with him. Grinning, he went back to his first date with his old earthbending teacher.
