Some like it hot!
"Why? Why don't you want me to take the subway?" the chocolate haired man with a babushka on his head asked the raven haired informant.
"Well, you know. There is so much bomb attacks and some crazy people may make an attempt on your life." Izaya said, his voice and whole facial expression very serious.
"But that's not the reason why I shouldn't take the train. Look, other people are going there every day. And nothing happens to them." the man named Kadota, yelled, frustrated. "And it's not like it is my first time taking the subway. And the self-bombers and other crazy murderers are doing it in Europe or the middle east, eventually America. So there's no reason to..." but the man was silenced by the raven haired information broker.
It all started with Izaya calling him in the morning, telling him to come to the subway station as soon as possible. Thinking that it might be an emergency or something Kadota hurried to the nearest subway, only to be told by his friend that he can't absolutely take the trains, because it's too dangerous.
Where was the logic in this all? Kadota didn't know that, but he never tried to understand the weird ways of Izayas mind.
After three more hours of standing there, Izaya changed his mind completely. After receiving an SMS, he told Kadota to follow him as he made his way to the subway.
"How did you change your mind so quickly?" Kadota asked both men rushing to the train.
"If you are with me, then nothing will happen to you. And we are supposed to take this train in order to reach our destination." Izaya said, waving his hand, so that the trains door would wait for them.
"But... why?" Kadota didn't understand any of it. First the information broker calls him to tell him that he shouldn't take the subway, and after three hours of naming all dangers that could meet him in the train (inculding broken doors so you can't get out, or having too little time to get of the railway if he accidentally would step on it. Not like Kadota would ever do such things, but Izaya predicted all possible options.) he encourages him to actually take the train.
They were riding the train to it's last station, all Kadotas friends getting to their train on the way.
'What the hell is going on?' Kadota asked himself, feeling dumb.
When the train stopped, all that party went out, and in front of Kadotas very eyes was a mountain. And they had to climb it. Following Izaya, Dotachin had no comments. This day, nothing more could surprise him.
Oh how wrong he was.
At the top of that mountain, was a party house. In there, was everyone, including Erika, Walker, Togusa, Izaya, Shizuo, Shinra, Celty... and all the people that Kadota ever met.
"Okay... what's going on here? I don't understand..." Kadota asked, confused.
"Well, I know that you would like to be forever twenty one, but since this is the only day this place wasn't booked, Erika decided to have a birthday party for you." Walker said, his voice excited.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DOTACHIN~!"
Kadota facepalmed. What did Izaya do, that everyone said his nickname? Kadota didn't want to know.
