It was a peaceful day at Imladris. Well at least it was until the twins disrupted it.
"Elladan Elrohir!" screamed a very aggitated Erestor. The twins cackled as they ran away from him. Erestor soon gave up chasing them. It was no use. The twins know every hiding place in Imladris. Erestor looked at the damage that was done and sighed. He was covered in honey and feathers. How humiliating! thought Erestor.
He silently walked back to his room as he did not want anyone to see him in this state. Unfortunately, the Valar thought otherwise. "Erestor!" Called out a certain balrog-slayer. Erestor cursed under his breath as Glorfindel came to him. He could see that Glorfindel was struggling not to laugh.
"Oh go on then, laugh," said Erestor. Glorfindel let out a loud laugh. "Are you done yet?" asked Erestor. Glorfindel took a few deep breaths before composing himself. "Quite," he said. "Elladan and Elrohir did this to you didn't they?" Erestor rolled his eyes. "Why of course not Glorfindel, I decided to cover myself in honey and feathers on this fine day,"said Erestor sarcastically. "That was a very low form of sarcasm even for you Erestor, "said Glorfindel. Erestor snorted. "If you don't mind, I have places I'd rather be," said Erestor as he walked away. But not before Glorfindel shouted. "Honey and feathers suit you mellon nin!"
Erestor was in a fouler mood than before. It took him two whole hours to remove the gooey mess. There was only one thing in his mind, and that was...REVENGE.
Elladan and Elrohir made their way to the dining hall after a few hours of hiding from a wrathful Erestor. They took their seats and spared a glance at Erestor. Oddly enough, he was smiling. "Dan look, he's smiling," said an awed Elrohir. "Erestor smiling?" said Elladan. "Dagor Dagorath must have arrived". Elrohir snorted. "More like he has plan something for us," he said. The twins were careful with what they ate and drank. Erestor laughed inwardly. The twins efforts were futile. There was nothing wrong with their food. They were in for a surprise.
The twins went to their rooms ready to retire. "It's odd Dan," said Elrohir. "I know, nothing has happened to us yet, " replied Elladan. "Come, let us stop thinking about it," said Elrohir. "We have to wake up early tomorrow for training". "I guess you're right, goodnight Roh," said Elladan. "Goodnight Dan," yawned Elrohir. If only they knew what was going to happen the next day.
Glorfindel was waiting at the training grounds for the twins. It was not like them to be late, thought Glorfindel. At that moment, two high-pitched screams were heard. ERESTOR! Glorfindel stiffled a laugh. The twins emerged with bright blue hair wearing elaborated dresses. In the library, Erestor was laughing. Actually, cackling would be more accurate.
