"Wow, wouldn't it be great if all our folks just disappeared for a while?" Sheen said.

"Oh yeah..Oh hey, a shooting star!" Carl looked into the sky as a green light shot across. Neither of the boys knowing it was really the alien ship.

"Cool! You get to make a wish." Sheen said. He grabbed a piece of popcorn and threw it at Carl. "Lucky..."

"Uh...what should I wish for?" Carl was, as usual, confused.

"I know what I'd wish for...I'd wish for no more parents...That way, we could do whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted. We'd be free! We could have fun all the time!" Jimmy wished instead of Carl.

"Yeah!" All three shouted in unison.

Jimmy awoke to his alarm clock, a rocket, setting off. Jimmy yawned, "Ah, abort mission. Abort mission!" He hit the top of the rocket, making it stop. "Goddard, wake mode." He got up out of his bed with Goddard. "All right, come on, boy. Race ya to the kitchen!" Jimmy raced Goddard into the kitchen, winning by flying down the staircase railing.

With Goddard close behind, he walked to the fridge, "Hey, Mom, did you get anymore Purple Flurp?" There was no answer. "Mom?" The second after he closed the fridge, he noticed a note on the fridge door. The note said simply:

"Dear son/daughter,
We've gone to Florida for an extended vacation.
Love,
Your parents."
He brought it outside and found that Sheen and Carl had the same note.

"Yeah! My parents went to Florida too!" Sheen said.

"That's weird," Jimmy stated, "From the look of it...I'd say a lot of parents are gone!" Kids were outside looking for their parents, one boy even looking in the trash.

"Well, did they ALL go to Florida?!" Carl asked.

"Maybe they went to get juice..or somethin.." Sheen suggested.

"I don't digest pulp well, it makes me bloaty." Yet another stupid answer from Carl.

Jimmy looked to Goddard, "Goddard, scan for adult life-forms!" Goddard did as told and brought up a radar screen. It showed no sign of adults or parents anywhere. "Just as I thought. There are no adults anywhere within radar! They're gone. The whole city...NO parents!"

"No parents..." Carl and Sheen sighed.

It took them a while but finally the three realized there were no adults around at all. They were free! "NO PARENTS!!!" THey threw the notes up and all ran in different directions, overjoyed.
