Tajima Yuuichirou is the embodiment of youth and love. Hanai can taste that fact in the air. He sees it shimmer around the smaller boy.
It lights up his eyes and his smile. Hanai breathes it in when he stands too close; when he presses his face against Hanai's chest and laughs.
He knows it when Tajima kisses him hard on the mouth one day after practice and says, "Hanai, I love you."
And Hanai loves him too. Loves the gentle curve of his neck to his collarbone. He loves the sigh he receives when he kisses his thin chest and narrow hips. He loves this boy and his gentle, calloused fingers on his cheekbones and lips, and on the bridge of his nose. He whispers the words in Tajima's hair with warm breaths and a quiet voice.
