Most people knows me. It's something that I wish didn't happen, but it was hard to. According to my people I was going to be the savior. Save my people from the terrible things that my brother had done to ruin our island. I was only eight at the time all hell broke loose.
After 50 years of being ruled by the US, my father had fought to let us be free, our own country. The entire island was happy. We were going to survive as an individual. Then the unthinkable happened. My father was murdered. No one knows who did so, I'm convinced it was my brother. He didn't want us to be our own country.
My brother took over in full force. Causing riots to break out and my lovely islands to be ruined. To this day I can remember the riots and fire, buildings being burned. That was when my mother and I fled. I wanted to stay and fight my brother. I was too young to rule the islands. We moved to a place called Ipswich, Massachusetts. My mom kept me safe there changing our name.
I watched the news on a daily basis. Hoping that the situation at home would get better. It never did, broke my heart. I couldn't tell my friends about my situation. How would I tell them. I'm not who you think I am. I am Leilani great great grand daughter of the last queen of Hawaii, Queen Liliuokalani. I am the rightful ruler of Hawaii, my country and I am determined to bring it back to the way it used to be. A peaceful place. Paradise.
Things progressively got worse. Hawaii turned into a dark place. Made everyone fear for their lives. My mother went back last year and that was when she died. I had gone with her but I had to come back here, my mother died the next day. Sixty people were killed due to the riots. Many believed that since she died and I was MIA that things would get worse and my brother would make thing worse than they already were.
And I decided that we needed a change. When the time was right I was going to go back. Save my island. I didn't know how but hopefully I had my people behind me, but one thing is for sure. I needed to stop Chase.
