Prologue.
Present Day
The darkness is closing in as the coffin is lowered slowly and steadily into the cold earthy ground below. All around figures in black shrouded the hole all of them merging together creating a great sea of darkness. Tears erupted from cold grey eyes, spilling onto white powdered and gaunt faces. No one knows why they are actually crying, it's not as if the young - too young - woman that lay cold and haunted in the sharp wooden box meant anything to them, deep down inside they knew the tears they shed where merely crocodile tears, a show, a facade for the apparently distraught family. The haunting music slowed to a stop as the coffin hit the bottom of its hole and the priest solemnly steps forward announcing for the closest friends and family to step forward for final goodbyes.
A tall woman, her once soft and bright blonde hair now a dull grey lies wispy and dormant upon her thin and gaunt face. She cast a shattered look, revealing her once bright vibrant blue eyes now dark and dull looking way to large for her gaunt and powdered cheeks stepping forward and bending down she collects a small palm full of dirt and rose slowly before closing her eyes and whispering a collection of broken words before thrusting the dirt with a disgusted look on top of the wooden box. The cycle continued, some stayed silent and some choked out sobbed goodbyes and a short while later the deed was done and the great sea of black slowly disintegrated as each person branches off to their own vehicles shaking hands and saying goodbye in quiet words no one wanting to taint the fragile silence with loud words. And when everyones gone, the coffin lies still beneath six feet of dirt, the girl incased inside filled with so many secrets and hidden passion, never to be known that she was something special, but for now, it's too late.
