A/N: Just a little story I thought of on the spot. It sounded good so I figure why not type up, right?
So this takes place after Ep 31 of Decade but before Movie War 2010, so you've been warned.
There's a little hint of one-sided TsukasaxNatsumi, but no more than I think would normally be shown in the season. But I mean, it -is- kinda obvious she likes him, especially after the World of Shinkenger.
Through her eyes she had seen the fated showdown she had hoped to avoid.
So many of the people she met on the journey through the worlds are all being destroyed one-by-one.
With every explosion she felt a part of herself empty just a little bit.
But the heartbreaking had reached max when she saw Yuusuke engulfed in an explosion caused by Ryuki's Dragon. She felt her heart sink when she saw his limp body in it's White Form.
In the center of all this was Tsukasa...
The one I thought would stay by my side.
He continued to slash and strike every Rider within reach and was cleaning house. It was eerie since he appeared to be in his element.
Natsumi continued to look on, she wanted to look away but couldn't.
Not even at the death of Shouichi and Momotaros.
The pink and black Rider seemed to accept his new fate and embraced it.
And so Tsukasa was forgotten by all those whom he befrended, all except one.
Natsumi looked on at the one she had called her friend, and felt an emptiness within herself. Was there really no other way for them to change their destiny? Was Tsukasa truly meant to be nothing but a destroyer?
She stared at the destroyer of Riders, now no longer being the person she traveled with and shared laughs with all along the way. He wasn't the one who would always be with her, the one that would share his heart with her.
Through her eyes... she sees, no longer was he Tsukasa Kadoya, now he was…
"Decade…"
