Lucy Carlyle had faced many challenges throughout the few short years of her life, murderous ghost, murderous agency heads, an annoying talking skull in a jar, and George's dirty laundry to name a few. But she was about to face the most terrifying day of her life.

Her own wedding.

Or more specifically, who she was getting married to. It had taken five years after she'd joined Lockwood and Co. to admit that she was in love with Anthony Lockwood.

Immediately after she'd told him, in the wake of a particularly dangerous job where she'd almost died, George, Holly, and Kipps burst into the kitchen and started celebrating saying it was about time while Lockwood just grinned like an idiot. Within a week the news that the two were dating had spread throughout London like wildfire.

Another year showed Lucy sporting a beautiful silver ring on her finger and finally, it was their wedding day.

They'd agreed to have the wedding in her hometown so that her mother and sisters wouldn't feel nervous leaving. In addition, there had been some confusion about who would walk Lucy down the aisle. At first, it seemed obvious that it would be her mother, but both women thought that that wouldn't be the smartest choice. As it turned out it was an unlikely source that had given the solution.

Surprisingly Inspector Barnes had offered to be the one that married them. It was a strange offer but the couple couldn't think of anyone more fitting.

When it came to the wedding party, they decided that friends would be best so, Flo Bones became the maid of honor, with Holly Munro, and Kat Godwin as bridesmaids and George Cubbins would be the best man with Quill Kipps and Bobby Vernon as groomsmen.

So Lucy was now in her dressing room freaking out as Holly fussed with the dresses(which was not helping Lucy's predicament at all), Kat Godwin sat in a corner flipping through a magazine and Flo was getting ready to strangle Holly.

Finally, the maid of honor had had enough. "Sit down Holly! You're making us all jittery." She burst, effectively quieting her down. "Now Lucy, you need to calm down! You are going to walk out there in a beautiful dress and Locky is going to be swept off of his feet."

Lucy smiled for the first time in an hour, "That is of course if we don't all die of laughter first."

The others smile too, glad that they'll already be in their spots in time to see Lucy get escorted down the aisle.

Finally, the time came for the wedding to start. Flo and George were the first down the aisle followed by Holly and Kipps, then Kat and Bobby. Then came the bride.

Of everything that Flo Bones had said, she had been right about one thing, Lucy looked amazing in her wedding dress.

It was however slightly off-put by the large silver glass jar with an old skull cemented in, that she was carrying. That's right, after a lot of thought and deliberation, Lucy had come to the decision that it should be the skull that walks her down the aisle and there was a muted rush of whispers as the wedding guests caught sight of it.

Inspector Barnes lightly glared at the best man vividly remembering telling a much younger George to have the thing destroyed.

But it seemed that Lockwood was impervious to it all. He had eyes only for Lucy.

Lucy didn't remember much of the ceremony, until after she'd said, "I do." then it seemed that she was hyper-aware of everything, especially her husband.

Finally, Inspector Barnes said the words Lockwood had been waiting to hear for what felt like an eternity, "I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride!"

The cheers were deafening.

And the reception was even better.

So as it turns out there are very few Locklyle wedding stories.

I would like to point out that this is the first time I've ever tried writing a wedding scene soooooooooooooooooo... comment what you thought?

Anyways I own nothing!

Hope you enjoyed!
