Note: As far as I know, Mangle's original name was not Vixen, however I have used it for the sake of this story
Chapter One
I was the shiny new toy the first day I arrived at my new home Freddy Fazzbear's Pizzeria. I remember the way they looked at me, like I was something to eat. It made me uncomfortable at first; the animatronics in that unfamiliar place were unlike any I had met before. There was something different about them. Something off. I couldn't quite place it, but despite their unsettling aura, they were quite friendly to me and welcomed me with open arms. The chicken was the nicest to me of all of them, I expected we would become good friends in time, the thought of which filled me with joy. But I was too quick to trust these mysterious strangers. I wish I had known not to be so naive before it was too late.
"Welcome to Freddy Fazzbear's Pizzeria," exclaimed the tall brown bear animatronic as I entered the room. "I am Toy Freddy, but you can just call me Freddy. What is your name?"
"Vixen," I replied. "It's nice to meet you."
"Well, Vixen, I know you'll enjoy it here as much as we enjoy welcoming a new member to the party," Freddy chided. His eyes glowed as he flashed her a smile. "I'll introduce you to the rest of the gang. I'm sure they'll love to meet you."
I followed Freddy to the stage at the back of the room where two other animatronics stood. One of them was a blue bunny holding a banjo, and on the other side of him was a yellow chicken with a cupcake in one hand and a bib around her neck with the words "Let's Party" printed on it. Freddy led the way up the stage to where they waited.
"Hi," the bunny said, "you must be the newest addition to the pizzeria. I'm Bonnie, and this is Chica." He gestured to the chicken standing close behind him. Before I had a chance to introduce myself another voice growled from behind me.
"So no one felt the need to tell me about our newest acquaintance?"
I whipped around in surprise to find myself face to face with a large fox animatronic, torn with age and excessive wear and tear. I noticed he had a sharp hook as a hand on one arm, a eye patch, and a mischievous glow in his yellow eyes.
"Foxy!" cried Chica, "she only just got here! We haven't forgotten about you."
"I know you knew animatronics don't care about us stored away for spare parts," Foxy chuckled. "There's no use lying to me."
"Well I'm not lying," Chica insisted, "it's the others who don't care, but I do." As she said this, she began to blush and fix the feathers on her wings. Foxy payed no notice; he still had his eyes on me.
"What is your name, m'lady?"
"I'm Vixen," I whispered, feeling my cheeks grow hot as he gazed into my eyes. I couldn't help but think he looked rather handsome. "Nice to meet you."
"The pleasure is all mine." He winked and leaned down to place a soft kiss gently on my hand. "If you ever need me for anything, I'll usually be in the storage room." He shot the others a look I couldn't quite read before he turned his back on them and disappeared into the shadows.
"What do you mean you care about that old piece of scrap," Bonnie exclaimed to Chica after foxy had left. But Chica didn't respond.
"I think we'll become the best of friends, you and I," Chica laughed. "I can't wait to get to know you better Vix." She smiled and wrapped her wings around me in a tight hug. Relief washed over me. I was glad I made a good first impression on my new friends. But I still couldn't get Foxy out of the back of my mind. Had I made a good impression on him?
After I had been introduced to everyone, including the old animatronics in the storage room, I was escorted to my area of the pizzeria.
"This is where you are required to spend open hours of the day," Freddy informed me. "At night you're free to roam anywhere as you please. Just try not to bother the night guard too often, that's what got the old location shut down." A shadowed look crept into his eyes but he quickly shook it away. "Anyways," he continued with a cough, "make yourself comfortable. You know where to find me if you need anything." With that he left me alone to get familiar with my new surroundings. I settled in comfortably and gazed across the hall towards the storage room. The door was closed and all was silent throughout the building, other than the soft sound of a music box playing. The night guard must have gotten here already since I had been delivered. I glanced at the windows at the far side of the room. It was beginning to get brighter out as the sun rose, turning the sky red. Soon it'll be my first day on the job. I hope I can live up to the other's expectations.
