Alexandria & Alexander Sparrow.

"Ms. Swan Sir. Carey is here to see you." Said a maid. Walking into the room. I stared down at my daughter fast asleep in her huge bed. She didn't look anything like me, black long lashes and curly black hair. Unlike my pale white skin hers was tanned like her damned fathers. No William was not her father; acutely William had died a year after Alexandria was born thinking she was his daughter and Alexander his son. Sir. Carey constantly came to my manor trying to prove that this didn't all come from William's money. I declined every time and not telling him everything I had belonged to my children's father.

Every month he sent me ridiculously high amounts of money via one of his ruthless ship crew. All of it came for a price, a very high price. When Alexander was of age HE was the next captain Sparrow and HE had to get everything that belonged to Jack. Unlike rest of the children my children were the richest and if Jack was with us would be spoilt rotten. I followed the maid to the drawing room where Sir. Carey was standing in his blue waistcoat and fat face.

"Sir Carey." I said quietly.

"Lady Elizabeth Turner. Or should I saw Elizabeth Sparrow." Sir Carey said with a smirk. What! How had he found out!

I just stared at him in shock horror. The punishment for being in a pirate's family was sure death. My children would be sent to an orphanage! "You're ruined madam. And when I tell everyone about dear old Sparrow you'll regret not accepting to be my wife." He said slowly pouring himself a shot of whisky, "Oh and I'd love to see Sparrow's diamond heir killed slowly." This could not be happening. After all those years of protecting my children from their wretched father I've miserably failed!

This was it they only got to live four years. Life was harsh. Then I heard a gun firing and Carey fell to the ground. Behind him stood Jack with a gun in his hand. He still looked handsome in his ruthless way but his hair was short and his chin shaven. Did I mention he stood dressed like a gentleman? "They know Lizzie darlin' the children are condemned to die. You're coming with me and let's get the hell out of 'ere I've got a huge place in the Caribbean and the pearls waiting at shore." Jack said calmly drinking the whisky Carey had poured for himself. So they knew, we had no choice but to follow him!

"Not before I kill you Earl, didn't your husband tell you he's an earl?" asked a voice behind us. We turned to see the commodore holding a revolver. Then within the next second Jack had shot him too.

"Get the children and let's run!" Jack snapped grabbing the whisky bottle and reloading his gun. I was too stunned to say anything so I just nodded and got the children ready. Alex got ready quickly and kept asking about the gun shots.

Outside Jack was standing by the carriage with a brandy bottle. "Who's that man?" Alexandria asked pointing at her father. I was SO close to yelling a drunken idiot but after all he'd done for us that would seem unfair. "He's your father," I said grabbing the brandy and dropping it on the floor.

"Ready?" Jack asked. I glared at him and put the children in the carriage. "I hate you!" I snarled at him, "The only good thing you've done for me is the twins." Then I slammed the door in his face and joined the children who were staring at Jack who tapped the roof and the carriage sped of.

"So you're a duke?" I asked Jack looking the other way. "Was, my father disowned me when I was sixteen." He said then started looking at a map.

Later on I was to realize that was the worst night of my whole life.
