"You should've been a nice little girl and taken it… I wouldn't have hurt you if you hadn't turned me down and acted like a bitch in heat around him!" The tall, masked assailant growled as he continued his attack, Amanda screaming in pain as she felt several of her ribs crack.

Fighting back wasn't doing much to him but she still tried and he gripped her left wrist, snapping it… as he pinned her against the icy brick wall again and yanked at her ripped up shirt, he was pulled off her and hurled against the wall before being thrown to the ground, screaming as his own left arm broke and pleading for his life.

"Stop?! That's what she was screaming, did you stop?!" Finn yelled, Amanda's eyes snapped shut and her trying to block out what was happening as if it were a nightmare.

Finn only stopped the beating when the assailant was unconscious before turning to Amanda, who was cradling her broken limb close to her bruised frame and looking at him after he crouched down and picked her up into his arms, taking her away from the area.

In the E.R, Amanda was silent as her arm was in a cast and stitches were in the left side of her head as she and Finn hugged… but silence didn't mean calm, tears were soaked into part of his shirt.

"Shh… it's okay, Mandy. It's okay, I'm not going anywhere." Finn whispered into her right ear, lightly kissing the side of her head.

Giving into the sedative, Amanda closed her eyes and Finn carefully put his girlfriend on her side, covering her with the blanket. Looking up, he saw Becky, Bayley and Seth walk in, Becky letting out a horrified cry when she saw how Amanda looked and Seth lightly hugging her before walking over and tucking some of Amanda's hair behind her left ear, ignoring the blood that got onto his fingers as Bayley helped calm Becky.

"Did you kill the son of a bitch who did this?!" Seth asked quietly after looking at Finn, noticing his scratched up hands.

"When we left, he was breathing… don't know if he's still alive." Finn says, reaching over and lightly rubbing Amanda's right shoulder when she let out a muffled cry.

She was one of the first people he met… and he never wanted her to feel any pain…

Amanda opened her eyes, the young teen looking around in alarm… before taking a few seconds to realise that she was in her room.

"It was just a nightmare, love." Amanda heard, looked and saw Finn. "You got too tired and crashed after our study session." He explained as the 17 year old wondered why her 18 year old boyfriend was here… but Amanda was also wondering where 17 year old Dean was as she remembered Dean being there with the group, which had consisted of Amanda, Finn, Dianne, Enzo, Colin, Carmella, Sami, Seth, Roman and Renee.

"My mind is so fuzzy." Amanda muttered, Finn sitting down and lightly brushing his girlfriend's chestnut brown hair back.

She would've chalked up the headache and persistent sleepiness to exhaustion… but something else just felt off and Finn could tell.

"You don't look alright… you still look really pale." Finn responded as he held her close to him, Amanda resting her head on his right shoulder as she wrapped her arms around him.

Amanda would've said that there wasn't anything wrong… but she knew better.

But as she was about to tell Finn about how she was feeling, both of their phones chimed and they picked them up, seeing the same text from Seth.

'Found Dean… but found him in jail. Bailed him out and are heading to where you are.'

"Sounds like someone got crazy again." Finn said quietly.

"Dean never waits til the weekend to cause trouble." Amanda responded as they stood up… and her knees buckled, Finn catching her and putting her back in the bed.

"Alright, you rest… I'm gonna go see what I can fix up for you to eat, then bring it up here." Finn replied before the two teens kissed.

After he walked downstairs, Amanda grabbed her phone and checked the calendar on it… it was the middle of October and she glanced back at September before swiping back to October.

"Protection's not always 100%..." Amanda muttered, trying to stay calm… and seeing a text from Dianne.

'Sixth sense struck again, picked a test up for you.'

'Thanks, Dianne.' Amanda responded… before she jumped as she heard a knock at the window and saw 20 year old Jeff Hardy on the fire escape.

"Made ya smile." Jeff responded after seeing a smile on Amanda's face.

"Fucking hell, Nero." Amanda muttered, calling him by his middle name before she stood up and opened the window, letting Jeff in as Finn walked in with some food.

"Jeff, don't you use the door anymore?" Finn replied.

"Ah, where's the fun in that? And what's with the dry toast and oatmeal, Mandy, are you on some kind of health food kick or something?" Jeff responded.

"Just haven't been feeling well lately." Amanda answered, Jeff turning concerned… before all three jumped after hearing a loud car horn and Dianne smacking Dean.

"Ow, I was just playing with it!" Dean said defensively.

"Well they don't need you jumpscaring them with the horn, honestly neither do I!" Dianne responded, Dean about to respond but stopping as he knew she'd become sensitive to things lately, one of them being things to do with her car. She didn't really like the Mach 1 for what kind it was, but muscle cars never appealed to her. She liked it because for the past 13 years it had belonged to her recently departed father, and many of her memories growing up around him involved the car.

The group got out and walked into the house, Jeff heading downstairs.

"Are they still asleep, did they sleep through that?" Seth asked after closing the door.

"No… and Mandy's not feeling alright so just be careful around her." Jeff explained.

"Wait, what's wrong with Mandy?" Dean asked as Finn walked downstairs. "He said that Mandy's sick. What's going on?"

Dianne quietly walked up the stairs and into Amanda's room, closing the door and sitting down… she rested her hand on Amanda's back before the two hugged.

"I don't know how to handle this… Finn and I were being careful." Amanda said quietly, brushing her tears away as they let go and Dianne handed the test to her.

"You remember what I said after learning how to walk again?" Dianne asked.

"Life can and will throw anything at anyone… but it's never to be taken for granted. Tomorrow's never guaranteed." Amanda responded, Dianne nodding.

As Amanda took the time to calm down, she thought back to that night.
