Hey everyone. This story was brought to you by Muggle Studies: Communication assignment on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I hope you all enjoy You're My Exception.

Ginny Weasley had been on her way to meet her boyfriend Blaise Zabini in Great Hall when she heard the conversation Draco Malfoy was having right inside the doorway to the Great Hall. She hadn't meant to stop and listen that is until she heard the voice of her boyfriend answering him. Quickly ducking behind a plant nearby in the hallway she listened into the conversation. She'd have to apologize for that later on.

"Why do you care?" Blaise asked angrily.

It was rare when Blaise got angry with anyone. Usually the older boy was gentle and kind to everyone which shocked Ginny the most when she found out that he was a Slytherin. Blaise only got angry when you intentionally made fun of or went after someone who he was friends with or cared about. She wondered who Draco went after to make Blaise sound as angry as he did now.

"She's a Weasley," Draco sneered. "The whole family are a bunch of blood traitors."

"So?" snapped Blaise.

"So...so," sneered Draco anger filling his voice now too. "So good pure-bloods shouldn't associate with blood traitors like them."

"Then perhaps I"m not as good of a pure-blood as you are," Blaise responded with venom

"Perhaps you aren't." The sounds of footsteps receding reached Ginny's ears.

Peering around the corner she could see the back of the bouncing ferret as he stormed over to the Slytherin table and sat down between Crabbe and Goyle. He was still glaring at Blaise when she approached her boyfriend from behind taking his hand in her own. A giggle left her lips when she saw him jump slightly. "I'm that scary?" she asked.

"No," Blaise told her kissing her.

"Is something wrong?"

"No. Just something Draco said."

"I know we're not supposed to be together. Everyone is saying so but I don't agree with them."

"Why not?"

"Because I make exceptions for people I consider different." Ginny brushed her red hair over shoulder as she thought for a second. "You're my exception." Lacing her fingers through Blaise's she lead him over to the Gryffindor table for breakfast. She'd tell Blaise later about overhearing his conversation with Draco.

I hope you all enjoyed You're My Exception.
