(Hello. So another supernatural parody song writer named Wiznerd the Eagle's and I were talking about ABBA songs and I told her that it may be fun if we both did a parody to the song Slipping through my fingers so that is how this one came to be.
This is from Dean's point of view on Sam leaving for college.
I don't own Slipping through my fingers or Supernatural.
Unbeated so all mistakes are mine and mine alone.
Also please take a look at Wiznerd the Eagle's take on the song parody and just her song parodies in general, they are wonderful!
I hope you like my take on Slipping through my fingers if you do like it please leave a review.)
Duffel bag in hand, he leaves home in the dead of night
Leaving a note but not saying goodbye
I hear him leave with a pang of unknown sorrow
And I roll over and cry
The feeling that I can't protect him forever
And knowing what's really out there in the world
I'm glad whenever I can teach him something new
That smart little geek
Slipping through my fingers all the time
I try to capture every minute
The feeling in it
Slipping through my fingers all the time
Do I really see what's in his mind
Each time I think I'm close to knowing
He keeps on growing
Slipping through my fingers all the time
Sleep in our eyes, him and me at the breakfast table
Barely awake I let precious time go by
Then when it's gone, there's that odd downhearted feeling
And a sense of remorse I can't deny
What happened to those crazy inside jokes
The things that only the two of us know
Well, some of them we still know, and some we don't
And why, I just don't know
Slipping through my fingers all the time
I try to capture every minute
The feeling in it
Slipping through my fingers all the time
Do I really see what's in his mind
Each time I think I'm close to knowing
He keeps on growing
Slipping through my fingers all the time
Sometimes I wish that I could freeze the picture
And save it from the funny tricks of time
(Slipping through my fingers)
Slipping through my fingers all the time
Duffel bag in hand, he leaves home in the early morning
Leaving a note but not saying goodbye.
