because they were from two different worlds

should have listened to her mother
when she said never to
eavesdrop
she should have listened
when she was taught to
knock
she should have listened
at the two voices coming
from inside the room
She should have listened
and stopped and
left.
But she didn't listen and so she had to see,
the man
she loved
with the man he loved.
Why didn't she
listen?
