Fun into the Night

Pairing: Serena/Nate

Lonely. That's how she feels. But when others ask about it, she simply gives them a charming smile before a nod and they go on their way - lost in their own little worlds.

Serena watches from her corner of the club, eyes scanning happy faces of couples. Though she brought Nate along with her for support and comfort, she still feels the sting of being alone tonight. Dan, most likely, is having sex with faceless women.

Because he hasn't had any in a long time, she remembers his words.

As her mind swims with images that she cares not to imagine, a hand presents itself before her eyes. She looks up to find Nate's handsome smiling face. "Come on, you can't be left in a corner all night."

Serena isn't sure why a bit of a flutter floats throughout her body but she doesn't hesitate when her hand calmly falls into his. They dance, bodies close as the music's beat gives them the urge to keep going. Laughter bubbles in her throat when Nate strikes a pose to get a rise out of her. They touch shoulders and waist and Serena twists on her the tip of her toes until her backside is up against him.

Flipping her hair, she swings her shoulders right to left repeatedly as her body bumps against Nate's. He continues to go with the beat. His warm hands rest on her tiny hips while they thrust back and forth.

At the end of the night, they are breathless and carefree. Something Serena always noticed when around the young Archibald. They could be free spirits.

"Dan doesn't know what he's missing," He whispers in her ear just before giving her a quick good night peck on her cheek. Stunned, she watches on as he leaves the front entrance of the apartments and hauls a cab. He flicks his blue eyes once more toward her and smiles before jumping in.

"No." She whispers. "He certainly doesn't."
