Cho is reading his latest teen novel, The Hunger Games, at his desk. Across from him, Rigsby is snacking on Cheetos and Grace is checking Facebook. Jane and Lisbon are locked in her office with the blinds drawn. Their muffled voices are easily heard by the team.
"What do you think's going on?" Rigsby asks.
"They're arguing," Cho speaks flatly.
"Well, yeah. I meant, What's going on with Jane? He's seemed strange all morning."
Grace and Cho share a smirk.
"Stranger than usual," Rigsby amends.
Before Cho can come up with a response, Jane and Lisbon's voices raise and the team can understand the words. The team stares at the blocked windows.
"…I don't care," Lisbon bickers. "Something is up with you and I need to know now!"
"I just don't know how to explain it!" Jane whines. "I wanna tell you but I'm not blunt like you."
"Why? Jane, you can talk to me, to the team. We're your family!"
"Wow, that's funny!" Jane growls. "You lump me together with the brothers you Ne-ver hear from! When's the last time you talked with Tommy? With Ben?"
"At least I have blood relation!" Lisbon hisses. "Your greed and vanity killed all you had!"
Jane stands, staring blankly, as if unable to comprehend what just happened. What was just said. The rest of the team heard. Cho's book collapses with Rigsby's chips. Both boys look distressed and concerned. Grace stops typing and just gawks mindlessly at the door. Lisbon suddenly realizes exactly what she presently said and moves to cover her mouth. Jane reaches out and catches her left wrist with his right. The deep anger in his eyes burns straight through hers while his sharp nails puncture her skin. She winces.
"You want, to know, what I've been Trying to say," he speaks with venom through gritted teeth. He lowers his voice and continues. "As of, last night," he sucks in a deep breath and holds tighter. "I gave up, my revenge on Red John, For Your Safe-ty."
He chuckles darkly and bites off the wedding band from his left ring finger. He then moves to unlock the door. He turns back to her with a ruthless half-smile.
"Tommy called you last night," Jane harshly whispers. "You dropped your phone on my couch. He helped me realize how much you mean to me. And now, I know what you think of me."
He lets go, spitting his ring at her. Jane slams the door into the wall as he opens it. He marches straight through the bullpen and hears one voice. It is a mumble, but he hears Cho calling him (Jane) an idiot. Without giving it a second thought, Jane takes his cell phone from his pocket, turns on his heel and hurls the object at Cho. It hits him in the chest and he staggers back. Jane continues his spin and does not turn back.

The next morning, Lisbon is sitting at her desk. She is going over files of a cold case when a sparkly item catches her eye. She starts to cry. She looks out into the bullpen, hoping to find her curly haired consultant. Instead, she finds Rigsby and Cho, diligently working. She frowns and dries up her eyes. She walks out, causing her team to stare.
"Anyone seen Grace?" her voice is hardly above a whisper.
"Sorry, Boss." Rigsby finally answers. "She wouldn't tell me where she was going. Just said she wouldn't be in today."
