Slash, the head of a beast fell to the ground. I am Annabeth Chase. Daughter of the fearless Athena, but today i was not fearless. The final battle

with Gaea has begun. The whole terrain was a battle field, this was no doubt the most gory battle in human and demigod history. The Greeks and

Romans battled in one war, but not against each other. Then i saw Reyna, the Roman praetor suddenly jerk up strait in battle, i knife point showed

through her shirt. i gasped and rushed forward to help, but i knew it was to late. The knife paint dug through her heart. I caught her while she fell. I

looked into her eyes.

"Peace," she whispered. A smile of tranquility showed and she was gone.

Jason and Percy were still locked in battle along with Leo, Thalia, Nico,

Hazel and Frank. The bloody battle continued. Suddenly i didn't know what hurt and what didn't. My will wasn't to live, it was to survive and defeat

Gaea. Even with all of the gods here it was a tough battle. Everyone was wounded but all of them kept on going. Slowly the beasts fell back an i

could feel Gaea feel back into slumber. The monsters fell into the pit of Tarturus. Percy stood with a smile on his face. Then everything slowed down,

a sharp dart shot through the closing pit. I recognized it. It was the dart of a scorpion. It was the size of a finger nail, blood red. And it was

headed strait for Percy.

"No!" i screamed as time seamed to slow down, all of us were too late. The dart shot him and his beautiful eyes were full of shock.

"Percy!" Jason shouted. Percy was on the floor, his eyes full of daze.I knelt down by him. i knew it was too late the scorpions venom was

unstoppable. Poseidon knelt beside me.

"Percy, Percy, Percy!" i screamed frantically, "you cant leave me, you promised we would be together forever!'

"I-I'm sorry Annabeth, we both k-know I-its too late." His lips were bloody and his eyes sad.

"No Percy don't say that," i bawled Everyone still hadn't recovered from the shock.

"Promise me.." he whispered, barely audible.

"Anything."

"Don't grieve for me, live your life, get married, don't die Wise Girl."

"W-what...no! You cant say that seaweed brain."

"You promised" he said his eyes closing, his life fading.

"i kissed his dying lips and i heard him whisper, "Wise Girl," one last time. I cried and cried. All of the gods tried to bring him back but he was gone forever.

I never recovered from the shock, never grieved, but i never forgot him. I became a sixth grade teacher. I never got married. One day i was teaching.

The principal, Piper McLean entered with a new student. I heard a sharp intake of breath when i saw him. I-It was Percy, but not Percy. He was

young, young like me when we first met. He still had that rebellious grin.

"May i introduce Perry Jackson," Piper said with a small grin and. Her eyes met mine and she nodded.

"Please sit down there," i said in daze to Percy/Perry. Percy didn't recognize me. Was it him? It had to be. After class everyone left. He turned around.

"Annabeth," he said his eyes twinkling, "Wise Girl."

"Percy, is that really you seaweed brain?"

"I don't know, i don't know if this is a trick or what. But no matter what happens remember one thing, I love you forever, never forget that."

I chocked back a sob, "I wont, I love you too." Then he left. I taught him for the rest of the year but it seamed like he didn't remember me after.

Sometimes he would meet my eyes but usually he was just Perry. My best guess was that he had achieved Elysium and chose to be reborn. ironic

really. But i knew he was happy, for that i was in peace.

Im still new at this but did you like it? should i do more? give me ideas! Thanks
