Hey everyone! Don't worry I'm still working on Cradlesong, but I just got home from watching "It's Complicated" and I thought about my boyfriend, Felix, and I thought, It would be so great to be older and still feel the same way you did about someone you did when you were 23, so this is a short fic about just that. And about the rating, I wasn't sure, Theres NOTHING objectionable in it, but then again, it seems like a mature topic. But, I went with T rating. Hope you enjoy this very short story.
Happy New Year
Izzy was cuddled tightly with Tai. They were laying on the couch watching TV waiting for the ball to drop, a quarter til midnight. Izzy was enjoying the warmth coming from Tai, but suddenly he thought of something.
"Hey Tai?" Izzy asked, looking up at him, wrapped in the blue blanket they shared.
"What is it my love?" Tai asked, with effection.
"Can you believe we've been together for so long?"
Tai smiled. "It has been a long time. How long has it been?"
"30 years since we met in the digital world. 20 since we fell in love. Why did it take you so long to tell me?"
Izzy laughed hitting him playfully. "Me? You could have told me too you know! No, you had to date Sora."
Tai raised his eyebrow at this. "Jealous are we?"
"I was at the time, very much so. I had no idea it was an act."
Tai laughed. "Oh yeah, the fact I wasn't a virgin wasn't a hint at all."
Izzy giggled. "True. Thank God we both confided in Joe and he set us up."
"Yup, good old reliable Joe."
They now faced eachother cuddling. It was true that many years had gone by, and they looked very diffrent. Tai was no longer a slim, muscular athlete, and Izzy was no longer a short geeky guy, but in eachother's eyes, that didn't matter, they still saw eachother for who they fell in love with eachother all those years ago.
The ball was getting closer to drop, and Izzy squeezed Tai's hand.
"I'm glad I finally opened up to you."
Tai laughed remembering the night, then tried to imitate him. "T-t-t-ai.. I L-l-l-l-"
He was interupted by Izzy slapping him on the sholder.
"Stop it! Thats mean!"
"What do you mean? You were cuite, and you still are."
They both smiled.
"Your cuiter." Izzy said, Tai sighed.
"Nope, I'm dead sexy."
Izzy laughed hard. "Yeah, in 2009 maybe."
"Are you saying im ugly?" Tai said sounding offended.
"No way."
The ball was about to drop. They stopped cuddling for a second and tosted eachother.
"Here's to another 20, happy years."
Izzy looked at him weird. "Only 20?"
Tai laughed. "Okay, forever."
They tosted, drank, and cuddled again for the countdown.
