Besides Myself

"Snips."

Those ocean-blue eyes looked into mine, worried and fearful, scared of what she was to do, but scared of losing me, her guardian, her only friend, her lover.

"Do it."

"But Master, these are only children-"

"They're Jedi, Ahsoka. They will grow up corrupt like the rest of the Padawans. Do you want them to hurt you again?"

"No!" Ahsoka flung her arms around my waist, buring her head in my chest, "Don't let them hurt me anymore, Master. Please, don't let them."

"Then do it, Snips. Kill them. Help me kill all the Jedi. We can destroy the Jedi Order. We will rule over the galaxy, Ahsoka. I will be the king, and you will be my queen. Nobody will hurt you then. We will be the strongest people in the galaxy, Snips."

"I would like that." Ahsoka looked up at me, trusting. Tears fell from those pretty blue orbs, leaving a watery trail down her orange skin.

"Then do it, Snips. Kill them and you will be my queen. Kill them, and you will rule by my side."

Ahsoka looked down at her lightsaber. I could feel the fight going on inside of her.

"Snips, do you remember how you felt when the Son turned you over to the Dark Side on Mortis? Do you remember how powerful you were, who strong you were?" I slid my arms around her waist, pulling her closer to me.

"Yeah." The word came out as barley a whisper, soft and wavering.

"Then imagine feeling like that all the time." I brought my lips down on hers, tasting the soft gray flesh. "All the time," I whispered, pulling my face away from hers.

Ahsoka looked at me, then down at the lightsaber in her hand. She clenched it in her fist, then softened her grip.

"I'll do it," She mumered softly, half to herself. "I'll kill the younglings."

"Good girl, Snips. Good girl."
