Rock the Role
Sam stared groggily from his brother to Castiel, struggling to comprehend them. He felt so sluggish, as if his brain was full of rocks.
One minute he'd been on the first date he'd had in a long, long time and the next he'd woken to find himself somehow wedged up in the back of the impala with his feet poking out through the passenger window
Someone spoke, but it was too fast to process. "What?" he asked, his voice sounding deep and drawn out.
"Your date; she was a gorgon," Castiel repeated slowly, in his gravel-like tones.
Sam desperately wanted to stand and pace, but it seemed the petrifaction hadn't quite worn off below the waist.
"You really know how to pick 'em," muttered Dean unkindly, only to redden under Castiel's laser-like glare.
Sam looked down in embarrassment; his brother had hit the nail on the head. He shifted uncomfortably. Huh, looks like they really are stones.
Perhaps I should join a monastery? Nah, a tonsure's not really a look I'd carry off, he thought, running his hands through his long, luxuriant hair. He stopped, or, rather, he ran out hair.
His eyes widened.
I'm never dating again, he vowed.
