"Wha...Huh?"

Blinding light flashed in my eyes. It has been centuries since I have seen this. Nothing ever felt better than the warmth of the light I used to take for granted. I glanced at the sky to confirm something. It was there, the big blue blanket barrier.

I was just about to jump, dance, roll around, and sing when I hear one word, "Damasen?"

I looked behind me and saw a tall giant...no Titan. He wore blue overalls which held squirt bottles in the pockets. He clutched a broom with a sharp spear point, and there was a cat on his shoulder.

"Iapetus?"

"DAMASEN!"

"BOB!"

We patted each other on the back and laughed. It had been so long reforming and feeling nothing but pain and agony.

"What happened?"

"I...dunno..."

I closed my eyes and tried to remember something. Anything.

There was sitting in the hut, bored as usual. Waiting for the drakon, also bored yet excited for the toilet paper (don't ask). And there were 2 small giants...no...titans? No, they were demigods. The finest of all the ones I met.

Tears clouded my eyes as I remembered swinging my drakon-bone weapon to protect the 2 demigods. Perry and Annabelle? Wait...Peter and Elizabeth? It didn't matter. They had good stories and appreciated my soup.

Bob also looked misty eyes as he stroked his cat. He was probably remembering the same thing.

"So, what happened to you?" I said, "When you pushed the button."

"Oh." He looked up, "I pushed the button until they made it. I pushed and pushed until you died. Then I died when Tartarus swallowed us!"

That's dad for you.

"But we are alive! I can see the cool blanket of night! And best of all, I can see my grand daughter!"

"Your grand daughter?" I tried to push out the memories of Tartarus' mouth closing and me falling into darkness before dissolving in the extra extra large chicken noodle soup cup Tartarus had been eating. Gross.

"My grand daughter. I want to see her and her friends. I want to see the stars."

That was when I remembered Iapetus had a family. His grand daughter had been turned into star before dying in the hands of her father, my nephew, Atlas.

"I want to see Zoƫ Nightshade." Bob whispered, tears streaming down his face.

I walked over to Bob and patted his shoulder, "don't worry my friend. We are on Gaea again. She is asleep and peaceful. We WILL see your grand daughter."

Bob looked happy and his cat jumped onto his shoulder, "Thanks friend. But that will happen in a while. I want to visit something first."

"What?"

"My friend, Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase."

And so we set off, finding their descendants instead, helping their camp, stealing their supply of peanut m&ms, looking at the sky, and finding happiness for the first time in years.

My name is Damasen and I am a good giant. I have suffered for helping, and was later rewarded for helping. I make good soup and drakon bone stuff. And after years of struggle, darkness, and pain, I can see the light.
