Chapter 1- Born again
When Lily had died, she had woken up at the park by her childhood home. She sat up and looked around noticing that she was sat in the spot she had first met Severus. She called for James, and slowly he did appear. Whether he appeared or she had moved, she wasn't clear on as when she was reunited with James, they stood now in a darkened room. A room with a mirror and a small boy.
Harry.
Both she and James moved towards the small boy with unkempt hair and a look of surprise. He son, little Harry that she was holding what seemed only moments ago, was now stood staring at them.
But they were not really there. And their son wasn't theirs. Harry was hers.
1 year ago.
Lily sat, watching her boy sleep in her arms, looking so peaceful and sweet. He had her eyes, her nose but is hair, his lips and his sly smile. She looked up at the clock and smiled softly to herself. Looking down at her son, she smiled kissing his forehead. "Daddy will be home very soon little prince", her voice barely a whisper. Standing carefully, she lay Harry down in his basinet and went to the kitchen to put the kettle on. She sat down and after time, made herself a drink and relaxed for a moment before a rush of air, a soft thud of feet and a small cry followed by hushed tones. Lily smiled to herself and stood, going to greet her best friend, husband and father of her child.
"Sorry Little one, I didn't mean to wake you up", the man said softly, his deep voice running through Lily, straight to her heart, warming it.
" Sev.."
Present time
After seeing her son, reaching out to touch her, Lily sat, shocked and confused.
"What's happening?" A voice woke her from her thoughts and she looked up at a rather annoyed looking James.
"I don't kn…why the hell are you asking me" she replied irritated by his very presence. After their fifth year, Severus had begged for Lily to forgive him which in time, she did. Their friendship mended and James hated both of them from that day on. Not that Lily cared much.
"I was only asking.." James retorted angrily.
The way he saw it, after she had married Snivellus, he still had to save her ass and her kids. He thought it hilarious when they started hiding and Lily had changed the brats features to look more like him. Best of all, he saw Snape crying like some dumb kid when Lily lied about her loving him.
Lily sighed, thinking of the past.
