Just Want to Talk

I just want to talk

To you,

Why do you run and hide?

With me, will you confide?

I just want to talk.

But you don't wish to hear

What I have to say.

Why is that, my dear?

Is it something that I've done?

Is it something that I've said?

That makes you fear me

When you're lying in your bed?

Is it because I hurt you?

Don't you know it was a mistake?

I never meant for this to happen;

It was a choice I wrongly made.

But that is in the past,

We are in the present.

Please believe me when I say,

I love you now and ever.
