They sat on top of the hill, as quiet as the soft breeze that passed them.

"It's very...boring today."

Had he the energy, Shikamaru would have shrugged. "Then maybe today should be one where we sleep."

Temari wanted to hit him.

So she did.

"Argh, jeez woman! If you don't want to sleep, don't let it out on me."

She smiled. "Just trying to wake you up."

"Troublesome... fine, if you don't want to sleep, and you don't want me to sleep, do something that doesn't involve me having to move from this spot."

"Alright then," she answered. "How about another game?"

"No thanks," Shikamaru replied quickly. "Any game I play with you doesn't end well for me."

"Fine then. I'll just keep making sure that you don't fall asleep, if you get what I mean."

He sighed. "Fine. What game do you have in mind?"

"An easy game, but with a twist; think of a number that's meaningful to you between one and a thousand. You also get up to five clues about the number. If someone gets it within ten guesses, the other must explain what is so important about it."

"Whatever. I'll start, you guess."

"Fine. 500?"

"Lower."

"250."

"Lower."

"100"

"Lower."

"Is it odd or even?"

"Odd."

"Hmm."

Shikamaru closed his eyes. "Hurry up woman, haven't got all day."

"Alright, alright. 51."

"Higher."

"75."

"Higher."

"Is it in the nineties?"

"No."

"85."

"Higher."

"87."

"We have a winner," he smirked.

"Finally. So what's so great about the number 87?"

Shikamaru hesitated before answering. "It's not great. It's the number of hours left until you have to go home."

Temari smiled. "As nice as it is, that's cheating. Had I been another couple of minutes, you would have changed it."

Shikamaru just smiled to answer.

"Your turn."

"Alright. Go."

"500."

"Lower."

"100."

"Lower."

"50"

"Lower."

"Odd or even?"

"Odd."

"Prime?"

"Yes."

"In which set of tens?"

"First."

"Three."

"That was faster than me."

"Alright, so why is it three?"

Temari looked at him. "Three is a lot of things. It's the age difference between us, it's the number of people left in my biological family, and also other things. It's the number of people I trust the most, and the number of reasons why I come to this hill."

"What reason's are those?"

"For rest, for a rare smile, and for the fact that I'm with the only person who says those three words."

Shikamaru smirked. "And of course, those three words are..."

She kissed him. "I love you."

End.
