Author's Notes: Don't worry. I'm coming out with new chapters of two of my stories tomorrow. I just well after that series finale I felt that I had to write a little something of that. Hmmm as you read this let me ask a question. What would you guys think if I did a virtual season 8? I think I'm going to do that. Take a couple of months and coming up with how I want my storyline to be and then do a virtual season taking off from where the series ended? Thoughts? Okay on with my little story.

Lisbon's Little Secret

After he had blown himself up again, and refused to stay at the hospital she had made agree to stay back at her place. No airstream for the concussed was her reasoning for him to stay with her. That was a false reason though. She needed him there because of something that happened at the hospital earlier….

Teresa Lisbon felt ridiculous sitting here on the gurney in the ER. The man that she loved was the one that had been in an explosion. Sure she had went inside to get him out, but that was it. Sure she had taken in a little smoke, but did that mean she had to remove her clothes and sit here in this little paper gown? Jane didn't like hospitals and she knew he was probably freaking, they would wish that they would have let her stay with him once he starts in on their staff.

"Hello Teresa, how are you feeling? I'm Dr. Baker." A rather young doctor spoke as he entered the cubicle.

"I'm fine doctor, as I've been telling everyone I just took in a little smoke. I don't understand why I had to change into this gown, and certainly have my blood drawn."

"Well Teresa, we had the blood test taken to confirm something that showed up when we did the chest x-ray."

So many things ran through her mind when he said that something had showed up on her scan. Her grandmother had died of cancer. That would be the thing to happen to her, once she finally got Patrick to tell her he loved her, she has to tell him that now she was going to die of cancer. There future would be of him holding her hand while she grew bald and died and left him alone yet again and…

"Teresa?" the doctor questioned pulling her from her thoughts.

"I'm sorry what did you say?" she asked not hearing any of his diagnosis.

"When they told me what your job was I figured that you were the type of woman that would need more than one type of confirmation." He told her handing her a test result as he put her x-ray up for her to see.

"Oh my god!" she practically screamed.

"Teresa are you listening?" the occupant of her bed asked sitting up on his elbows.

His hair was all rumpled so his curls were all over the place. He had on another pair of those spiffy pajamas of his, but this time they were in black. Looking at his "sleepy" face she couldn't help but smile. She couldn't wait to see what her little one would look like. At that moment she hoped it was a boy, she wondered if she could get those little suits in toddler size.

"I'm sorry what were you saying?" she asked as she snuggled in bed with him.

"You okay." He asked concerned.

"Never better, tell me your plans." She smiled snuggling even closer.

"Like I was saying. I'm not going to say I'm Bob Vila but I know that I can make our little cottage something that you will love. Simple, with a huge master bedroom for us, and one more. You know for guests or whatever." He babbled on.

She couldn't help but smile as he went on about how he was going to make them a little house in the woods. It was ridiculous, and she knew that in the end he probably would either give up or hire some people to help him. No matter how many ways he kept surprising her, she just didn't see master builder in his resume. A smile also crept on her face when she thought about her "whatever", and how long she would be able to keep her little secret.
