"Maggie Simpson?" Repeated Miss Hoover.

"Here Miss" I replied, panting as I were late for class!

It was my first day in second grade, Mom told me to be myself, but I can't see that helping my social life. I've always been a quiet girl, as my Mom told me, 'If you want to get somewhere in life, keep your trap shut' I mean seriously, look where it got Bart in life, no where.

I sat on the desk at the back of the class, next to a shy looking boy. He wore a purple t shirt with some sky blue jeans. He also had a wide black uni brow. He glared at me and looked at my little blue bow, this really confused me because I swear I've met this boy before..

"Hey there, my names Maggie, Maggie Simpson, what about you?"

"Gerald Samson, nice to meet you I guess.." He replied.

I shrugged it off and turned back around. I stared at the clock waiting for the lesson to end, It seamed like hours but it was finally over. Everybody stood up and walked out of the classroom.

I looked down the hallway.. hundreds of children rushed past me as I stepped out of class. Deciding to put my bags in my locker, I ducked, dodged and crawled my way through the school and finally found it. As I opened up the big blue locker, I noticed there were words scratched into door, I read 'El Barto' Hmm, I wonder who that could be! Mom and Dad always told me that Bart was mischief, I can remember when I was younger being blamed for breaking things and causing trouble. But Lisa was no better, she was jealous of me and Mom's relationship, I couldn't help being the youngest, and adorable, not to mention intelligent. Anyway back to school, It was second lesson, we had music! I adore music, Playing the guitar is what I'm best at though! Lisa introduced me to music on my 5th birthday, she bought me a small electric guitar, and from then on, I was smitten! Everybody sat down and was given a violin, cello, saxophone or clarinet, But me, I was given a tuba!

"Excuse me Mr Largo, um, I cant play tuba"I said in a nervous voice.

"You CANT. PLAY. TUBA. Well, I. DONT. CARE!"He replied firmly.

I sighed and closed my eyes, But at least most of the lesson was over with, mainly because of him moaning and telling us about how depressing his personal life is.

Thank god Music was over, finally I could get something to eat! I grabbed a tray and smiled at the lunch lady. She groaned and glared then poured on some bumpy looking sludge on my tray, whilst scratching her hair, and coughing all over my dinner..

"Where could I get something to drink mam?" I asked, very politely.

"There's water over there, and milk over there" Replied the Lunch Lady.

I went with the water, as the milk wouldn't poor out of the carton! Wandering about the cafeteria I finally found somewhere to sit, I mean yeah, everybody moved when I sat there but at least I got a seat..

Lunch had passed and before I knew it, the day was over. I went to my locker and grabbed the rest of my belongings then headed home, I'm not sure if I'm going to like Springfield Elementary. But, on the way home I saw Gerald with his Mom in the car, and surprisingly, he waved! Lets just say, I think I've made a friend!
