Author's Note: This is a poem from Kakyou's point of view inspired by my
friend, SharonToggle. I'm very pleased with how this poem turned out. I
especially like how it rhymes unobtrusively and the syllable pattern is
consistent. I think this is the best poem I've ever written. ^_^ Tell me

Hopeful Dreamer

In this room, cold as stone
Forever sleeping
She finds me lying here alone
I dream
She gives her hand to me
I cannot take it
If only I could meet her reach
I wish
Once I know she is there
She fades and leaves me
In an empty field of despair
I stand
I dream, I wish, I stand
Hoping that one day
I'll catch hold of her lovely hand
