Luna looked at Crow's hand in shock. "What…"
"It's a gift." Crow lifted his hand a little higher, offering her the card. "One of the kids found it, and since it doesn't have a home, I figure I'd give it to you. You like dogs, right?"
"Yes, but," Luna looked at the card. It was a beast standing on its high legs, howling towards the sky, torn clothes hinting towards its former life. "It's a werewolf."
"So?" Crow smiled. "Your desk is all about mythology, right? A werewolf is a part of that, right? Just the scary version."
"Yeah," Luna murmured, staring at the card again. Finally, she sighed, taking the card from him. "Thanks, Crow."
"Hey, no problem." Crow winked. "Anything for a friend."
He turned to leave when Luna stopped and asked him, "Have you heard anything from Yusei."
The orange haired man shook his head. "Nothing. But still, we'll wait. Yusei'll be there when we need him. He always does."
Yeah, he does, she thought with a fond smile. Holding the card close to her chest, she watched Crow get on his bike. He waved at her, grinning ear-to-ear. "You take good care of that card, kay?"
"I will," and he was gone, off to duel someone, probably. She wondered how many times he came to her or Leo in the case of getting injured. He'd probably do that tomorrow again.
Looking at the card, she read the words aloud. "Immortal Werewolf."
She smiled. How ironic. Whenever this card is destroyed in battle, you could summon anther Immortal Werewolf. And it was stronger than before, even.
Just like a certain bird-friendly duelist I know, Luna laughed to herself. Then a thought struck her as she returned to her apartment.
Why didn't Crow keep the card if he was so concerned about it having a home?
