Cruel, cold and calculating they were the words that came to mind as he stared out passed the protective railing of the astronomy tower at the near full moon; they were the words that to him described everything the moon was. That blasted moon just sitting in the sky slowly growing fuller and turning all those naive beasts who thought they might have been human or just partially into fully fledged monsters that lusted on human blood and the smell of fear as they dug there vicious claws through their preys feeding off the torturous screams and pleas of mercy and begging.
He felt sick just thinking about it. No matter how much his friends tried to understand they never would. To them the full moon was a symbol of romance and beauty something to be admired something to be shared during a special moment. He laughed, his voice jumping off the slimy stone walls, damp with due causing the room to echo his laughter mockingly as if the full moon could be beautiful or romantic, something to be admired who would want that power; forcing hopeless individuals to endure incredible pain month after month until they could no longer take it anymore.
They were right about something however the moon was special but never in that way. The moon for him marked the end of his life or so he thought, that was until he met the marauders who handed him their friendship and false understanding. He was never able to live for himself, the moon took away that control and the small remainder he had was claimed by his so called friends. They tried to help and that's what hurt the most just the fact they cared when they shouldn't have. He was just so tired the only reason he was still alive was because of his friends, if they didn't care then he would be able to rest from that cruel and calculating moon but no they had to care. Why couldn't they just let him go didn't he deserve to rest he thought so.
He laughed again the walls still mocking him as he saw the irony of the situation he wanted to rest, he wanted to be happy however his friends saw this a different way as long as they were there as long as they cared he would be okay, right?, he didn't want to endure the pain every full moon brought they didn't understand that and he knew they never would. Ending this would surely cause them grief and he knew this however it couldn't be any more than he would have to endure. He slowly walked over to the rail each step filled with confidence and conviction and gripped it as he pulled himself up. As he stood pondering his end he almost understood how they could view the moon as something beautiful and romantic, he almost understood why they cared and he let out a tear for everything they would lose, but mostly he cried for everything he would gain. One world circling in his head as he let himself fall Freedom, Freedom, Freedom. He just hoped they would understand.
