Summary: Liz sends Jess's twin sister to live with Luke too [AU].

Author's Note 2: Tristan will be in this story.
Author's Note 3: This chapter takes place between 3.01 [Those Lazy-Hazy-Crazy Days]and3.02 [Haunted Leg].

Chapter 1
The door to the diner swung open and a girl walked in. She was medium height and pretty thin. She had black hair and was wearing jeans and a red tee shirt. None of the diners glanced up from their evening meals. Luke did.
"Ray?" he called.
The diners looked up at the new arrival now. Luke moved around the counter and walked toward her.
"Hey Uncle Luke" the girl greeted him. Luke reached out and hugged her awkwardly.
"It's good to see you kiddo."
"Good to see you too Uncle Luke."
"How's Liz?" He regretted asking the question immediately as her eyes went hard.
She shrugged. "You know Mom."
Lorelai cleared her throat eager to hear about the new arrival. Luke looked in her direction.
"Come on Ray. I want to introduce you to some people." He guided her over to Lorelai's table where she was eating with Rory and Dean.
"This is Lorelai Gilmore and her daughter Rory and her boyfriend Dean." He pointed to each of them in turn. "And you guys this is my niece Ray."
"Niece, as in Jess's sister?" Rory asked a puzzled look on her face.
"His twin sister."
Rory was still confused. Jess had never mentioned anything about a sister let alone a twin.
"Ray?" Dean was muttering puzzled.
Reighn smiled. "Yeah my mom gave Jess the girls name and me the boys one."
Luke looked at her and looked back to the three. "Ray's her nickname. Her full name is Reighn."
"Reighn – like the weather" Lorelai said brightly.
"Right like the weather" Luke answered. "So Ray Rory and Dean are seniors too."
"At Stars Hollow?" she asked.
"Dean goes there. Rory goes to Chilton Academy."
"That's in Hartford right? I think I passed it on the bus."
"Ray?" someone called. They turned. Jess was coming toward them. He enveloped Reighn in a hug.
"Hey Jess." Her face lit up.
"Wow I actually missed you" he said.
She pulled away from the hug and lightly smacked him upside the head. "Actually missed me? What the hell is that?" She glared at him.
He glared back at her, rubbing the sore spot on his head. They burst out laughing.
"Okay, okay I really missed you" he amended.
"I missed you too J."
Lorelai stood up. "Okay well as much as I love family reunions I gotta go." She placed some money on the table. "Luke, Jess bye. Reighn it was lovely meeting you."
"Yeah you too."
She walked out the door followed by Rory and Dean.
"Okay well Ray Jess can help you bring your stuff upstairs. I gotta stay down here" Luke said.
Jess picked up her duffel bag.
"Thanks Uncle Luke for letting me stay."
Luke waved his hand dismissively. "No problem kid and it's just Luke Ray."
"Okay." The two headed up the stairs.
"I am glad you're here Ray-Ray" Jess said giving her a sidelong glance. Ray-Ray was the nickname only he used. "You're gonna like it here." He wondered could she hear the falseness in his voice.
If she did she didn't say anything. "I hope so Jessy."
A/N: Okay so that was chapter 1. I have got loads of this story planned out but I don't know when I'll be able to type it up.
