Going
By: Oooo Laa Laa
A softly spoken sound, that hurt to get out, echoed around the empty, hollow bedroom.
It's could've been a squeaky 'no', something barely made my lips move, but I didn't know.
Rose looked at me; it was an awfully innocent look, drenched with confusion. I tried to convince myself that she was only sixteen – until I realised with crushingly bright clarity that I was merely a year older at seventeen.
The clicked opened, and my heart thumped achingly as she got even farther away from me.
"Please don't go," I said.
"I have to." She stopped; smiling gently and said, so quietly I almost missed it, "even if it hurts to." And then left me.
Apparently I have some form of a life - which seems rather contradictory considering the last Rose/James fic I wrote I mentioned that I had no life - since I haven't had time to write this up and it's been almost two weeks since I hand-wrote whilst waiting for my wonderful new phone to arrive. ;)
Thanks for reading!
