The characters are owned by Kripke and co. I only let them out to play a little.
"Did you hear?"
"Hear what?"
"Carver Edlund is going to publish his new book as an eBook."
"I thought he wasn't publishing anymore."
"Yeah, he told everyone that he had made a promise to someone that he wouldn't but seems he just meant a physical book, not an eBook."
"We have to get that. When is it out, and why haven't I heard about it?"
"It's out next week, and Carver kept it quiet for some reason. Don't know why. He wasn't really clear in the interview I saw."
"What did he say?"
"Well, like I said it wasn't clear, but it sounded like he said he didn't want Them to hear, and that they were going to kill him if They found out."
"Probably just hype to sell the book. Wonder what it's about?"
"Here's the thing, it's about the convention."
"What?"
"Yeah, it's another one of those Mary Sue storylines where he has written himself into the story, or really he has taken the convention and written about what happens if his characters turned up."
"That could be good, or it could go down in flames."
"Yeah, I'm hoping it is good, especially since we were there. We have to get this."
"This is going to be great."
"Freaking Awesome."
"I don't understand. How could he..."
"I know. He just wrote about them guys. They aren't real..."
"But how did he know?"
"It's almost like they were the..."
"He did say he was the real Dean..."
"No way. He was LARPing. Like us. He didn't even look like Dean..."
"Maybe he was. But that would mean..."
"No freaking way. I mean the Sam guy was like a giant, but it couldn't be, could it?"
"They did seem real comfortable digging that grave."
"Yeah, but it's not real. I mean, demons, angels, going to hell and back..."
"I know, but how else do you explain it."
"It can't be. But we were in it. He wrote about us, everything we did and said."
"Word for word. He even said we saved the day."
"This is just..."
"I know."
"Maybe those guys told him what we said. They seemed to know him personally. Even called him Chuck."
"Yeah, but how would they get it word for word?"
"Do you think we actually met the real Dean and Sam?"
"Maybe. But we were pretending to be them. We said we knew them better."
"No freaking way."
"Those guns they had, were they real? Everything else was, they must have been. Oh god, what if we made them angry. Would they..."
"No, we saved their asses. They wouldn't, would they?"
"Well, it's been a while. They probably have other things to think about. Oh my god, that would mean that Lucifer and the Apocalypse..."
"No. Oh god, I told the real Dean that he didn't understand what Supernatural was about. He freaking lived it, went to hell and all, and I told him he didn't understand. He wouldn't..."
"No."
"It's just a story, right?"
"Yeah, I guess. I mean if it were real..."
"Yeah, just a story. No way could it be real. I'm really beginning to wish I never heard of damn series. Well, except that I met you because of it."
"Yeah, I'm happy about that too. How about we forget we ever read 'The Real Ghostbusters'"
"Deal. After all it's just a story. What would I do without you. I love you Barnes."
"Love you too Demian."
Author Note: This is my very first fan fic. I've always wondered what happened after the convention in 'The Real Ghostbusters' but no one seemed to have written it. I just rewatched the episode last night and thought it would make a good one-shot. Hopefully it is easy to understand, even when I haven't specified who is speaking. Reviews would be most welcome to a new author.
