The Descent
She was falling, falling, falling
Slowly it began, but she fanned the flames
She let it scorch and burn and seer
Everything she should not have done
She fed the hunger and made it hungrier
And all her world crumbled around her
No one dared to try and stop her
So the falling carried on
And every event, every moment
She was closer and closer to the edge
Until it all came to a head
Her mother was right, she was a monster
And she struggled and writhed, tears flowing for the first time
Her brother looked at her with pain in his eyes
And the madness finally overcame her
