a/n this is going to be an odesta songfic so I hope you enjoy it. I'm just borrowing the characters they belong to Suzanne Collins and I'm also borrowing the songs. Enchanted belongs to Taylor Swift and Hold back the River belongs to James Bay.

Part 1

Finnick's POV

Back home to District 4 again. it's nice coming back from the Capital. It's unbelievably false there and the people dress like complete clowns , not that I'm going to be honest with them about that or anything, Snow warned me four years ago when I won the Games to do what he says and not anger him and insulting his goons go under that heading, so I'm keeping my mouth shut. I'm afraid to say I learned that the hard way. Just then, Cyrus barges in ,he has been the district 4 escort since before I can remember "quickly,quickly now. The cameras will be out. Everyone in 4 will want to see you".I actually like this side of being a victor you know, the cameras, the fans and everybody waiting to see me, not all of it is sunshine and rainbows though. It's good to be home.

Anne's POV

I sit on a bench on the promenade. it's calming and peaceful sitting here. Nearly everyone in 4 was outside the justice building tonight , supposedly to celebrating the lives of the District 4 tributes who died this year. The moon reflects across the ocean and the stars were scattered like crystalline dust scattered from a pitcher. The sound of the sea was beautiful. it was home. "Hello there" a voice echoed from my right. I turned around only to come face to face with district 4's copper haired victor,Finnick Odair. "Oh,Hello. Shouldn't you be at The Justice Building " I stated. "nope,so where have you been. I thought I had met every girl in District 4 or have you been purposely avoiding me " he stated brightly. "oh,yeah. I was afraid I'd drown in your charm"I added sarcastically. "I doubt that .you are from 4,aren't you. You'd never drown". he said with a smile.

2 years later

"Finnick where are you going every few weeks? " asked Annie angrily. Finnick's face fell as he looked into his girlfriend's eyes. " Are you seeing someone else in The Capital or something. How can you expect to get engaged after my last reaping if you are keeping something like this from me "she continues very upset, "Annie, I can't tell you, you could get hurt if you knew,I really do love you, I do, but I can't risk telling you and there isn't anyone else there never could be." Finnick adds hurt that she would suggest that he left to be with someone else out of his own free will ,for he hadn't chosen the image Snow had fabricated for him. Annie turnd on her heel and walked off the beach,leaving Finnick standing still,

That night Finnick refused to return to The Capital and four months later Annie was reaped for The Games. Her names was in seven times, you would think the odds would be in her favour wouldn't you.

On the train to the Capital Finnick and Annie held each other and sobbed. The trip to the Capital on reaping day was the one thing Finnick never wished to share with her. "What am I going to do, Finn" uttered Annie after a while."I don't have any unique skills, I can't hunt and I don't want to have to kill anyone but I don't want to leave you." she added looks at her through bloodshot sea green eyes and adds quietly "of course you have a unique skill,Annie, you'd never drown". he said but this time he wasn't smiling
