Emma had finally escaped the confines of Sanctuary for the islands outer rocky environment, for some peaceful meditation and time away from the gang, though, she knew that it wouldn't be too long before Shalimar got curious and came out to find her, unable to resist the pull of her other half.

She stood up on the highest outcrop of rocks she could feasibly access, breathing in deep the gradually cooling air, and absorbing the tranquillity the height and lack of people offered her. The sun was already low in the sky, casting her in a flaming golden glow as if lighting up her aura, her hair floating around her face in the delicate evening breeze.

She felt, rather than heard Shalimar coming up the cliff behind her, the uncertainty of whether or not to approach radiating off of her in waves, so tangible that Emma needn't read her to know how she was feeling, not that she would have violated her partners trust like that without permission, she made it a firm point to never look into the minds of her friends and family without their knowing.

Deciding to put Shalimar out of her misery, Emma offered an outstretched hand to the feral, her eyes remaining closed until she felt warm fingers entwine with hers, she smiled as she tugged her lover closer to stand in front of her facing out towards the rapidly approaching sunset.

Shalimar leaned back into her taller partners reassuring embrace feeling Emma's arms bring themselves forward to fold loosely around her hips allowing their fingers to tangle together almost absentmindedly. The telempath breathed in deeply the scent of her partner, nuzzling gently into the wavy blond hair in front of her before resting her head upon the feral's shoulder, tightening her hold momentarily and sighing in contentment, basking in the glow of emotions shared by the two women, enveloping them securely.

Shalimar grinned to feel Emma's projected emotions of happiness and contentment wash over her, and snuggled herself deeper into the psionics body as they watched the glowing orb in front of them finally crash into the rocks, gradually sending the world into darkness.

As the last rays of light faded from sight and the stars started to appear, the two women carefully picked their way down the rock face into the awaiting warmth and safety of Sanctuary.
