New Year's Love
A/N: A fluffy, oneshot NaruSasu fic. I was eating grapes and had an urge to write a short, cute fic about them. XD Enjoy! –grin-
"Sasukeeeeeeeeee," The blonde whined, hanging upside down from the couch.
"Hn? Be quiet, teme," The boy in question muttered, looking over some notes from Tsunade.
"But Sasuke, it's New Year's Eve! There's a big party at Sakura's and everyone's going!"
Sasuke looked up, glaring at Naruto. "We're not going."
Naruto pouted, blue eyes growing impossibly huge in his tan face. Sasuke ignored him, looking back at the notes.
"If you won't go, I'll go by myself," Naruto glared, getting up.
"Fine! I'll go!
"Hey guys, Sasuke and Naruto are here!" Ino chirped as the boys took off their shoes and jackets.
"Yep! The party can start now, I'm here!" Naruto yelled happily, running into the family room where everyone else was. Sasuke rolled his eyes, following, but Ino could've sworn she saw him suppress a grin.
Kiba (along with Akamaru perched on his head), Hinata, Lee, and Tenten were crowded together on the couch, Gaara leaning against the edge. Kakashi and Gai bickered in a corner, Gai fuming with Kakashi's 'coolness'.
The rest of the ninjas and teachers were spread about the room. Naruto dove into the crowd, chattering with everyone he saw, while Sasuke went to sit in an empty recliner.
Lee and Naruto started arm wrestling as Sakura brought more food in. "Hey Sasuke!" She said, giving him a one-armed hug before setting the tray on a short table.
"Hey." The dark-haired ninja gave her a half-hearted wave before getting up.
"Guys! It's 11:50!" Kiba yelled. "Turn on the TV!"
Shikamaru rolled his eyes as Hinata gave a small smile, reaching out to turn on the TV.
Everyone crowded in, Naruto plopping on the armrest of Sasuke's chair. His eyes widened when Sasuke slipped an arm around his waist and pulled him into his lap. He settled more comfortably as Sasuke rested his chin on Naruto's blonde head.
The only one who seemed to notice was Temari, who shifted the fan on her back and glanced at Kankuro.
Everyone started chanting. "5! 4! 3! 2! 1! HAPPY NEW YEAR!" Everyone cheered as Neji passed around some champagne.
Naruto twisted in Sasuke's lap, kissing the tip of his nose.
"Happy New Year, Sasuke!"
Sasuke raised an eyebrow and Naruto gave an impish smile. "I love you Sasuke."
A rare smile spread across Sasuke's face. "I love you too, Naruto," he said before leaning over and kissing Naruto on the mouth. Everyone watched 'awwed' and Kakashi snapped a picture.
After a moment Sasuke drew back his head. Naruto groaned when he felt the warm mouth leave his, but his eyes lit up when Sasuke smiled grudgingly at him.
"Happy New Year, Naruto."
