"Dean, why won't you let me help you?" The youngest of the two asked as he turned towards his brother, "Why do you keep blocking us all out, we only want to help you!" Sam yelled. He knew it was a sore topic that his older brother would rather not talk about but right now, Sam didn't care about his feelings. He didn't want to lose him he just couldn't, he had no one else.
"Damn it Sam, will you just leave it! Nobody can break this deal!" Dean replied in a stern voice whilst keeping his eyes on the road.
"How do you know that? Ruby said-"
"Ruby's a lying whore! She can't do shit, I'm going to hell Sam and there is no stopping it." Dean cut in. He would never forget the night the skanky assed demon told him that there was no way to help him, no way at all to break the deal. She just lied to get Sam to talk to her, stupid black eyed bitch.
Sam turned his head slightly to the right and glared out of the window, if this was his brothers last day before he gets dragged to hell, is shouldn't be a day of arguing. But he knew his brother would rather argue than talk about his feelings. So he swallowed his anger, took a deep breath and tried to talk without his voice cracking with the pain he felt.
"I just- I just don't want you to leave Dean, you're my big brother." Sam gave up with trying to control his voice as his emotions took over, "Who's going to look out for me if you're in hell?" Tears were stinging his eyes but he refused to cry.
"Sammy," Dean whispered, "You'll have Bobby and Ellen and- and Jo." He knew how his brother was feeling and it was killing him. He had watched his brother die and held him in his arms as he took his final breath. But no matter what, he would not, could not, let his little brother die again.
"They're not you Dean." Sam said as the tears silently fell from his eyes and trailed down his cheeks, "They don't know me like you do. You're the only one I can truly count on."
At the nearest stop, Dean pulled over and got out of his beloved impala. Sam sat in his seat for a few seconds before following him. Dean was leaning against car staring into the wide lake, "Sammy, I don't want to die, I really don't… But if we break this deal in anyway then you'll die and I can't accept that, I refuse to let that happen."
"So you expect me to live without you?" Anger replaced his grief as he stared down his brother, his fists trembling from his rage.
"That's exactly what you're going to do." Dean said coldly as he stared out at the lake, "I'm not going to watch you die again Sammy, I can't." The tears brimmed over his eyes as he couldn't hold them in any longer.
"I promise you Dean, I'm going to do everything I can, maybe even more, to kill Lillith and get you out of hell."
