Okay, I'm about to cry! The season is ending! I will be VERY upset if they don't show Kai! Making this really made me sad.

Disclaimer: I don't own Cardfight! Vanguard.

The shining sunlight woke up the sleeping brunet. He slowly eased himself off his bed and pulled back the curtains. Emerald eyes winced slightly at the intensity of the sunlight.

Kai Toshiki smiled. It was a good day for walk. Kai went to the bathroom and turned on the shower. He let the warm water soak him, a content smile on his face. It was strange. No matter what, it seemed he couldn't stop smiling.

Kai finished showering and dried his hair. He slipped on his school uniform. It would be the last time he wore it.

Kai closed the door behind him walked down the sidewalk, his hands in his pockets. Happiness twinkled in his eyes. Why shouldn't there be? He had saved Aichi and stopped Link Joker.

No, Kai stopped infront of a cherry blossom tree. We did it. Not just me, but everyone else.

Kai leaned against the trunk, watching pink petals dance with the wind. Thinking back on it, Kai remembered how hard he tried to get Aichi back. He had fought Ren. He had lost again and again, but he never stopped. Despite Aichi's disappearance, he was actually happy. He had bonded with many people, believing in them, fighting alongside them...

"Ah, that's what mates are," Kai murmured. It was because of everyone around him that he had got this far. He couldn't imagine doing it by himself.

More petals fell. Kai let one land in his hand. A single petal.

Kai stared at it. That's how he used to be. A lone petal, making his own wind, following his own path; far away from the ever-waiting tree. Kai blinked when the wind suddenly picked up, whiping his hair forward. The petal flew out of his palm. Kai reached to catch it but stopped.

That was how he used to be. He no longer needed to follow that path. He no longer needed to be alone. "Oi! Kai!"

Kai turned his head when he saw Miwa waving at him, Misaki standing beside him, a smile on her face.

"Are you coming or what?!" Miwa called with a grin.

Kai smiled. He no longer needed to be the lone petal.

Kai walked over to Miwa and Misaki, earning a punch on the shoulder from Miwa. Kai told him he was just realxing. Misaki shook her head at the duo. The three walked down the street, speaking about where they would go after they graduate.

Kai stopped walking and turned around. He saw a lone petal, floating over to others. The wind raised them higher and higher, but they never once seperated.

Kai smiled. That was what he was going to do. Keep pushing forward, but never stray away from his loved ones.

Walking with Misaki and Miwa, Kai knew without a doubt he was going to just that. He would never stray far away from the tree.

Never would he be the lone petal.

So sad! I don't want it to end! Well, at least the next season doesn't look that bad. Hopefully they won't ruin the show. Please Review!
