Christmas in DursleyLand by Princess Taranda
* start *
"Lookee here, Mommy!" little Dudley Dursley called to his mother. "Another present!"
"Than open it, Diddly-dums," his mother told him.
"Lookee!" he said again. "It's a toy car!"
"But Dudley," his mother said. "You've already got one of those. Why don't we take it to the store and get you a new toy instead?"
"NO!" Dudley yelled. "I don't want another toy! I want this one!"
"Whatever you want, Diddly-dums."
Harry Potter, just a little younger than his cousin, was playing in the wrapping paper. "No, Harry!" Petunia yelled! "You're making a mess!"
"But Dudley's allowed to play!" the little boy protested.
"Put him in the cupboard, Petunia," Vernon Dursley cut in.
And Harry was picked up and locked in his cupboard for the rest of Christmas day.
* end *
Simply my take on one of Harry's earlier Christmases. Please give me any comments or errors you found in reading this. I *might have been* writing this for Floruish's challenge, but seeing as it is twenty-eight words over and doesn't use 'horticulture' I'll just post it here. I know its short. I wanted it that way. -:-)
