Of Froggs and Lilys
chapter 1: Prologue
two small children, one boy, one girl. at school, at home, everywhere they went, noone wanted to go near them. Lillium was a shy sweet girl, her father a homicidal maniac. Frogg was always an odd boy, his hands destroyed by two tragic accidents (one involving an experiment, the other involving a train) and replaced by metal claws, and a metal chin. he also had an accent strongly resembling that of Frankenstein's assistant, not particularly desirable among children. when Frogg met Lillium-or Lily, as he often called her-neither of their lives would ever be the same. it went something like this:
"Hi..." said the sweet, shy, beautiful little girl to the odd boy, who was currently fixing an evil clown robot he had created.
"Hi." he said, not looking back.
"what are you making?" she asked, unable to see his desire to be left alone.
"I'm fixing my robot, which if it WORKED right, SHOULD have destroyed that STUPID Tommy Marcus who NEVER invites me to his parties!" he shouted angrily, hitting the contraption with a wrench. Lily giggled.
"so you're like a robot docter?" she asked, smiling. he laughed a little.
"Yeah, i guess I am!" he said, chuckling. he turned and smiled at her, then walked over to the dirt patch a few feet away, beginning to write something. Lily followed him, reading what he wrote as he stood.
"D, O, K, T, E, R, F, R, O, G, G... Dokter Frogg!" she giggled cutely as the boy stood proudly over his new title written in the ground, smiling with his hands on his hips. then she kneeled down, writing her own name in the dirt beside his. standing up beside him, she smiled as he read out her words.
"L, I, L, L, I, U, M... Lillium? that's nice... can i call you Lily?" he asked her shyly.
"of course, silly!' she said, giggling once again. he knelt down one final time, drawing a heart between their two names, then stood, shyly holding out his claw-like hand to her and blushing. she blushed back, and took his hand in her own. the two walked off together, hand in hand, and their lives were never the same.
